I bet half those weights are wrong, and then you have to add on a bit more for extra bits like cables, grease, dirt etc. So I doubt it's under 7kg. Would be interesting to see one built up though.

Cables' weigh is included, grease is normally included in the parts' weighs too, and dirt is not much if you ride in good weather or indoor

i think a kamel 20" frame is more lite than a dob magnesium. also, perforating the bike you can save something more

You should have spent more time on reading my specs, inner tubes are included (2x90g).

Kamel frame is definitely not lighter than Dob, after all it's made of alu not magnesium.

If you wanted to be really poncey about weight you could drill everything drillable (Brake levers, frame, rims) shave the tyres down, ride gripless, go on a diet and dip the whole bike in caustic soda to strip the paint off.

Once you get a bike down to below 9/8.5kg, there's no real point IMO.

My bike rides super nice as it is, although some weight loss from the rear would be cool.

I wish I had bought a rear DOB rim instead of the Monty one. But meh, £10 extra for 50g saved.
