Not sure on the tmag, but i rode an onza bird 2009, and it felt waaay short for me, i rode a zoo python long at the time, which is more than 1020mm, so i felt there was a difference, im 5'8" or so, some people say they dont feel the difference, but believe me, i definetly did

edit: its all aobut preference, how tall are you, people that are say, 5'5" or so, would ride a short, but like i said, im 5'8" or 5'9", and i ride a long, feels gooood to me!

good luck mate!

Then i'd probly get a long, does your tmag feel uncomfortable? do you feel 'crunched' up when you ride it?

do you have any pics of it?

Edit: i have a zoo python long, and a meta mod

There's generally two different frame sizes (long and short of course) and two different applications (street and comp).

Few years back a long frame (such as ZOO! or anything by deng) would usually be set up with long and low handlebars with little rise, this is generally accepted as a street/TGS style of mod bike.

Contrastingly, you had short mod frames (Monty's and slowly Koxx's) which were set with higher rise handlebars and higher stem, making them more comfortable on two wheels. This made them choice for competition riders.

However at current day there is a bit of a merger, a lot of frames not being available in Long or short anymore, and higher rise handlebars becoming more popular.

I ride a Limey 320 which is neither long or short, and have some Try-All rage bars on there. The set-up is just about perfect for any style of riding.

Riser bars and shorter geometries are slowly taking over in my opinion.
