How Many Grinds Will My Rim Take?

Just a quick question on how many grinds my rim will take before it does any structural damage and begins to weaken the rim. Its the older style Atomlab Pimplite rim. So far since xmas its had 3 light grinds and im using heatsink yellows so i can go slightly harsher if i wanted to. I ride fairly often and a light grind usually lasts me about 4 or 5 weeks. The wheels are fairly expensive and so i dont want to have to chuck em so soon, i would like to get the most out of the rims. Also whats the best disc for grinding rims, im using metal cutting discs and they seem to really make a mess when they're new but i can get a better gring when its been used a bit and is a bit blunt. Any help appreciated!

Do you really need to grind so often? I'm guessing you ride a street based 24 so surely it's nice to have a bit of modulation?

I have dmr DV24's on my Inspired and the rim was ground once about 3 years ago and it holds fine with a heatsink yellow. A dead grind is nice!

If you grimnd every month don't expect the rims to last too long.

Dan go buy a new (METAL cutting disc) for your grinder. the thin sharp square edge gives a awesome medium sharp grind. just take it off every time your finished so you dad can't use it. if you use a disc with a round edge all your doing is grinding your rim to death and not making it any better.
