An_toin3
Hi guys, I've got 2 bikes, one Echo Pure and another bike that I built from scratch using spare parts I had. I have a simple problem.. I have a hard time/can't bunnyhop/lift the front wheel to save my life. Funny thing is that it's happening on my "daily" bike. My echo is so easy to lift the front wheel. Both bikes are mostly built the same way, same bars, stems are almost the same, one is shorter. Surely, it has to be down to the geometry of the frame ? and I'm far from a know-it-all when it comes to this. So, what helps to make the front end easier to lift ? shorter wheelbase ? bb height ? If I have to, i'll change the frame.. seriously, this bike is supposed to help me get around town and have a bit of fun doing so, bunnyhopping over lil curb, manual here and there, etc. But this ain't happening right now which is annoying me. So can anyone shed some light on this ? any frames you'd recommend ? (need to have gears on it) I have put some pictures of the 2 bikes, i can't put any spacer (fork was already cut down to that length ) to make the bar sit higher. Thanks
Julius Czar
Might be the lower bottom bracket, it puts your centre of gravity lower to the floor which makes it harder to lift? Other than that I'm not sure.. Edited March 13, 2012 by Julius Czar
Ali C
longer chainstays and low bb will make the front end harder to pull up amongst other things. Get those bars tilted back too.
Matt Vandart
find a planet x zebdi frame best for this kind of bike.
