Continental On The Front

Conti tyres are very light, but not very grippy at all, very thin and wear quite fast.

Stay far off.

Conti Twister or Explorer are the most common front tyres from Continental.

I'd personally get something else. Maxxis, Try-All or Michelin preferrably.

Does anyone know which would be grippy but light?

Nothing in the Continental range!

Most people probably use a Explorer or Vertical, nice and cheap (£13ish), pretty large (2.1 or 2.3") and light (550g ish if memory serves me correctly...). Very thin sidewalls though, and hard compound so things get messy when not riding on dry concrete!
