Crank Extractors

Hi ive just brought a BBB crank extractor off chainreactioncycles. I have just tried to take my crank arm off my bike and it will not come off. It seems like the end bit is too large to actually touch the bottoms brackets axel to take it off but it says in the description take it does both square tapered and isis. I run square tapered middleburns. What shall i do?

Thanks For Your Help,

Tom

I have a square tapered crank extractor which will not work on an Isis bottom bracket as the pushing bolt is too small.

So i would guess that if your tool is meant for an Isis BB, it will not fit in a square tapered one.

Thats just a guess, See if you can borrow a square tapered version (an older one) from a friend.

Cheers,

Alex

my guess is that you've bought a park crank extractor (if not pplease tell me) it will have come with the isis head screwed in and a smaller head... you need to unscrew the isis head to do this push it in and turn it. now just put the square taper head in (screw it in) and take the crank off ... and your done :P

hope that helps
