nmt_oli Posted December 11, 2005 Report Share Posted December 11, 2005 You can already get coloured nipples, DT swiss do them, and i think a couple of other companies may do too. The problem is they are anodised lloy, so are very soft compared to brass nipples and round off easily. A wheel is generally a stronger build with brass nipples as you can put more tension on the spokes.If you are/know a very good wheel builder, and have a VERY good spoke key (cheap ones will round alloy nipples imediatly) and really want the pimp colours, and small wieght saving, then go for it.
