Ok, just downloaded a font from www.dafont.com and i want to use it in my edition of CS2.

Sam Holmes would probably be the best person to be asking, but other comments are obviously welcome.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. If you want me to be more specific just say, im basically wanting to import the font in order to use it on this image im working on.

to install the font you....

1 go to the zipped folder ( then unzip it )

2 then copy the font file into the font folder (this can be found by going : start>control panel>fonts)

then it for definate will work in word and i also think in photoshop too.

I am in the same boat as Mr_Pitbull at the moment. What do you mean by 'unzip it'? How do I do this?

Cheers,

Sam

You left click the folder and press extract all files.....et voila. Copy the new font file into the font folder.

yep do that, you may need to download a program to do so...

i use winrar i think, this can be downloaded by going to google and searching for it (Y)

Have fun CS2 rules!

Slightly off topic, but cs2 is the complete suite yeah? if so, I've seen the titles of the other programs that are included alongside photoshop, but what do they do, and is it worth gettin cs2 instead of photoshop on its own?

By the way, get an evaluation copy of either winzip or winrar (I'd go for winrar) to unzip the files, but check to see if you can extract without getting the programs; some files are self extracting I think.

use the built in unzipper in XP or get winzip to unzip

copy the .ttf file into c:\windows\fonts - it will install it for you

it won't be available in photoshop until you close and restart it

and

photoshop versions after 7 are all shite.
