himwiththehair Posted May 15, 2007 Report Share Posted May 15, 2007 (edited) Im looking at drilling a rear 24" bmf and rhyno lite xl for the front and am just wondering whats the best way to go about it.By my reckoning there are two options:1) Drill the rims before building, from the inside face out, bracing it on some wood (hopefully this wont cause too much in the way of undue force).or2) Build the wheel and drill it outside to in, (hopefully with the wheel built meaning not too much damage will be done to the rim).Also any sugeested hole sizes would be cool too (dont want to go too big!).Thoughts/ideas any one?Regards, Matt Edited May 15, 2007 by himwiththehair Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Posted May 15, 2007 Report Share Posted May 15, 2007 i personally agree with the above comment (buy a built one) but if your on a very tight budget go for it. i have drilled my front rim, build it up and drill a pilot hole first (3mm i did) and then your required size i rekon if you are going to drill your own rims, drill your front first, and see how that holds out, as doing both could end in a nasty accident hope i helped Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
