  1. well made video good job, i also have seen much worse and well this wasn't bad at all the only thing i can say is SNOW PATROL!!!!!???? and that looked like some gnarly wind you were riding in man good to see people that aren't just fair weather riders well if you are in england you don't get to ride much ahh well good effort and a worth watching video thanks for that
  2. I always want to ride my bike i spent ALL! my money on it and cant afford anything else any way so have to ride the 8 miles into town most saturdays on my GU. lots of fun, but builds up stamina and bad back
  3. i have never tried ZOO! pads but i have echo reds which when i first got my bike and they were running on a nice brandy new echo 06 rear rim coor blimey they worked well! when locked up unmovable no matter how much i tried to get them to slip they wouldn't but not so good when wet , when they rims got muddy and dusty though the brakes almost stopped working so ground them and they worked as good as new again and are wearing quite slowly, and the squeak is very satisfactory on the newly ground rim
  4. um i sort of killed my echo BB the bearing races all seem to have vanished just the outer and inner hardened steel bits left, the actual bearings and sides have all gone, i'm pretty sure they did this because when i first got my bike the cranks where a little loose and i rode them like it and slightly rounded the non drive side isis interface so had to slightly over tighten the cranks bolt I.E jump on my 8mm allen key which seems to have pushed the evil wierd axle covery thingies into the bearings and annihilated them but i told adam at tarty bikes it had died and they sent me a new one for half price yay so back to riding, has this happened to any one else i just haven't put the covery thing's on the new BB axle in the hope my bearings will last this time
  5. monty now make a MOD tyre with holes in the side of the tread sorry to be pedantic or what ever the word may be for what i just did but i just think they look cool if not pointless probably but just thought i would say some thing any way ps: i'm not to keen on the old spell checker it just told me i spelt tyre wrong we aren't in america its a tyre not a tire!

    Shoes!

thanks to SOME of you i wasnt asking what to wear as apposed to what other people are wearing and think are good shoes i will wear what i wear i just like to know other peoples opinions, and hell yes my attitude sucks and i get told it all the time but im fine with that im lazy and proud but work my balls of to be able to afford my bike and when i think effort will reward it self and not just waste a few hours of my life looking through total gibberish posted i would gladly search through all this junk but still again thanks for the few people who actualy offered some thing help full much appreciated
  9. I know this topic will more than likely have been posted before but honestly i can't realy be bothered to look through the pages and pages of mainly absolute gibberish in this part of the forum so ive started a new topic. which shoe's do you the trials riding people's of the world think are best for trials, judging on: grip, wear rate, support, price and general comfort, i have personaly tried 661 dually's both the older and middley new design's not the newest, due to my lack of fund's after buying the GU, but the 661's had amazing grip when new! the best support i have felt from there armoured side plates, and due to being nice and light weight were greatly confortable both off and on the bike, unfortuantely the sole's on both pare's relatively quickly wore through, i have also had a pare of pink es koston k7's again absloutely superb in all categories apart from wear currently im running a pair of DC device's mainly because i bought them for £20 from tk maxx but they feel good and are not wearing to much so im liking them now, very glad i found them so cheap, any one else's opinions on any of the above or any others they have tried would be greatly appreciated, thanks
  10. magura's due to all thats returning them being a small spring with in the lever can some times do this and not retract properly. the only way i've found of making the problem less so is simply toeing out the pad's on the side thats rubbing ie angle the pads so as the leading edge or the bit which contacts the rim sorta first like if the wheel is rotating forward as it usualy is the back face of the pad will contact the rim first so if you toe them out slightly so you angle them so this back face of the pad is SLIGHTLY further from the rim than the front they wont rub as badly but if only toed out slightly should still lock up just as well when pressure is applied. I would guess you already know this but just incase any idea could be helpfull. every thing else i could think of to improcve the retraction has already been said there's not much you can do short of just by a new slave cylinder for £15
  11. i ride in lincoln almost every saturday from about 12 onward any one come down on a saturday and will probably see me at some point riding my GU always happy to see new riders preferably ones that wont show me up to much but nah realy any one fancy a ride some where new hop on down to lincoln some sweet spot's if you dont mind the fines and security guards and of course the amazing community support police officers
  12. looks a lot like a bike any thing with wheels, pedals, brakes and that rolls can be ridden looks pretty damn spanking for a first bike i would be happy with it thats for sure but yeah its always good to hear of people starting riding i personaly love this sport and am always just excited for any one to start especialy if they enjoy it as much as i do, good luck to your brother hope he enjoys it have fun and keep riding LOTS!

  14. i would think as adamtrials said it may be possible although the hoses have different internal and external diameters and also with the hope being bled with dot fluid and the magura's with bio hydraulic mineral oil it using dot with the magura's would destroy them internally and using any other substance ie magura royal blood or water with the hope lever would inevitably just destroy the insides of that as well. also im not sure as to how the expansion of any fluid other than specified dot brake fluid would effect the hope lever im guessing it would not like it. so sticking with good old magura levers keep it simple no need to over complicate some thing. I would say that personaly even though i thought i would never say this the 05 levers are actualy a whole lot better than the previous incarnations as well simpley they seem to flex alot less meaning a lot more of the power you actualy put into pulling them goes into your rim! I have always wanted to try the RB design ergo f1 it looks cool and from what i've heard and the price of it! im guessing must be worth it, also with the new lever blades from GU, CZAR, ZOO!, and Adamant you can seriously pimp up the 05 levers
