    Kot Ms2?

Hey Wayne, its Ben from Singapore here.. Well im riding a 'short' kot ms2 at the mo..rides nicely, just that my wheels are making the bike a tad heavy.haha.. besides that its comfortable to ride. But i do agree with AliC that the bb is kinda high. I used to have marta 180mm's in the rear but i went back to using rim brakes this year. The rear disk was nice but in the long run it didnt really work, and the power wasn't consistent. Maybe i just had bad luck after changing bads many times. I've decided to go back to rim brakes as they give me much more confidence, but do run them with a booster, the magura mounts look like they'll snap anytime.. Cheers.
  2. Thats an awesome vid..props Actually all your vids were really good..haha
  3. Yeah sure you could, i ran a 42mm rear rim with 2.5 maxxis tires on my urban..running discs too..
  4. Those rims..lookin bright Nice bike..
  5. Ah..darn i cant seem to download it as the internets crap on the other side of the world..some under-sea cables were damaged cus of an earthquake off taiwan.. Will try a to download it in a while..

    Staples

This should be the first vid i saw of staples i think..haha.
  7. Well..comps are a different thing really. It doesn't matter if you can sidehop higher or gap further than your opponents. It all comes down to how well you can handle the pressure of having a time limit, rules and all that stuff in order to complete a section... Some riders prefer not to have anything to do with it and thats cool too. They are doing their own thing and they're pushing trials to a different level.
  8. Wow..thats a great vid. Really nice to see a megamo in action.haha..
  9. Helmets and gloves..used to wear shinpads, but weathers too humid to wear them..
  10. ali c, waynio, chris akrigg, rowan johns, the boon, feeney, tim pratt, porter, staples, chai, shrewsbury.. Oh gosh theres just too many..haha.
  11. Well so far dual disc has been okay.currently using a marta on the rear with a 180mm rotor. As long as your mounts are faced properly, and your pads are in good condition they will hold up. If you're using hopes or maguras try to get a hold of the monty trials pads.i think they are the best pads to use if you wanna ''go big'' in that sense?haha. Yep.
  12. Alrighty! thanks guys. Im a little tempted to get the current one, but i guess i might just wait for the new ones to come out too. im not too sure. haha. Indeed, some of the frames are made in taiwan, and some of the frames like the 224 downhill frames are made in the UK. but they're still really nice nonetheless. Hey Ali, do you have any idea how the new frames might look like?haha
  13. Hey everyone. I was just wondering, does anyone have any idea when the new ashtons will be released? i heard that martyn ashton was working with Orange bikes or something like that. Anyone knows anythin? Thanks. Cheers Ben
  14. Well it wasnt too hard to get used to the short, even after riding low bb bikes for quite a while. Its short so it aint too bad. As for bunnyhopping stuff, well i havent been able to hop up high curbs yet.only low ones.. haha
  15. Yea i really appreciate it and i think its a good idea. For some of us here we love making videos or film's. its awesome that theres a way we could get some quality music without having to go through all that licensing. after all this is so readily avaliable too.. so props to you!
  16. Id say 661 gloves are pretty comfortable, get the thinner ones like the Raji, would be better for trials. As for tires id say my favourite has to be the Maxxis minion rears, in super tacky or slow reezay compounds. Have a 2.35 on the front and a 2.5 on the rear. Great for natural! But if you mostly ride street, then i think the hansventure or high roller would be good. Yep.
  17. I think you should go for it!!
  18. Im using a 180mm martas font and rear. Works fine i would say. I guess the ideal size for the rear would be a 180mm. As for the front its really up to you.
  19. Well i started out riding a mod, then moved on to stock, and i dont regret it at all. But honestly yea, try to see if you could borrow a stock for a couple of rides, try it out and decide on which one you would prefer. Transition from mod to stock is generally easier, except for the fact that stocks to weigh a little more. If you could buy a stock, and keep your mod too it would be alright. At least if you're bored of you could always ride a different bike to keep things fresh. haha.
  20. Kinda like both just as much.. but natural riding is always the best way to learn new techniques and to improve your overall riding. Compared to street, where everythings mostly right angled, rocks vary alot. You can never get 2 rocks that are exactly the same..
  21. Sweet! Haha.. Well i think its still legal here in singapore.. but i know that its illegal in the states already, so they are selling it pretty cheap..something about the outer shell being soft? haha.
