  1. think of the number of new tricks like tap to bellring.. it is an obvious progression of the sport desgined specifically by politicians for trials riders to make new tricks.
  2. also there aren't many companies producing trials stuff so there is relatively little competition so they can all keep there prices at a highish level. but still pretty cheap compared to most other forms of bike riding.
  3. the lengths are crucial if you want it to work, they smaller number is the length of the shell usually 68 or 73mm and there is also a bigger number 118mm or something which is the length of the axel. you have to get the right lengths to fit the shell and to make sure the crank clears the stay and the front sprocket is inline.
  4. isn't the problem with running rear disk brake is that it can tear itself off as when you are on the back wheel the caliper is being pulled away from the frame (if you are backhopping) thus most standard disk mounts break and only few trials specific frames have disk mounts to compensate for this. but a well setup magura is plenty of power.
  5. if you want to buy adobe premiere your looking at £700ish depending where you get it but dabs is generally pretty cheap (but check kelkoo). adobe premiere but if you wanna spend a lot of money its probably worth getting adobe production studio as it has photoshop CS, After Effects which is pretty useful and some other software, but does come in at just under 1K adobe production studio
  6. i got the whole bike for £400 when it had only been ridden once, right place, right time.
  7. i am currently mainly riding jump so i use the front suspension, but surely keeping the suspension would make simple rocking a pain and absorbing energy? also wont most trials frames geometry be messed up with front suspension as are they not all designed for rigid forks?
  8. thanks all, i think i'll keep going without change until i can buy a new frameset and try and salvage as many components from my current bike. hopefully in the end have 2 bikes!!! Alex
  9. Hello, i have recently started to try trials riding. despite still being a beginner i was wondering whether it would be worth upgrading my bike. an orange msisle with deore crankset with 22-32-bashring, deore shifters and 9 speed rear mech, HS33's, D521's on LX hubs, manitou SXLT's (100mm travel), orange stock DH bars and stem. i was thinking the best thing to get would be rigid forks but i'm not sure which, i like the echo urban forks but i am concerned whether it will make the geometry crappier? also what else should i upgrade first without breaking the bank?
