  1. Used it for 6 months with an aluminium axle and it was faultless, just thought I would step it up a bit and put some carbon in there ;)

Went out for a ride tonight, wasn't exactly gentle on it and it seems good so far....just have to wait and see, altho I can't see any reason why it shouldn't work :)

    Cheers!

What weight was the alloy model? Think you could do it for a rear screw on hub(as an alloy axle version)?

Sounds like a promising ideal, hopefully see you on dragons den soon, getting some money behind you to get them in production ;) Would mind getting one for the front of my road bike...

I'm assuming that's aimed at what I said about Stan's frame?

  2. Yeah unless someone got a pic on the roadtrip there won't be any I'm afraid - basically the bottom of the dropout folded itself up to the extent that it required bending back to get an allen key into the bolt head, let alone remove the bolt...

Have these frames been released, or are they still in the testing stage? As I havn't seen them for sale anywhere?

  3. If you you remember back to when Ashton collaborated with Orange he rode a suspension fork on his License 24'' bike. What he had done is, got a 100mm Reba fork and got TF tuning to put in a rubber washer in to stiffen the compression up(I think they may have modified the dampner slightly to). This is pretty much the same thing Ryan Leech gets done to his forks, expect from what I can gather Leech uses a dual air Fork to get more adjustment, and to save on weight.

  4. Surely hammerschmidt is more than those cranks? What are sram doing making cranks anyway? Thats why they bought truvativ.

They same sram, and truvitvi branded on them. Sram are trying to make full group sets like what Shimano do, its a marketing thing, but they are still made by truvitvi.

Pretty sure I have seen roady wheels that sell for over £4500 EACH.

Yeah, American Classic and Fast Forward wheels do wheel set's up to 6000 bucks, it's mad!

  5. They brake's are awesome, got a pair on my 29er, and I can't fault them(been tempted to by one for my trials bike). A lot of people bitch about the bleeding process, but in all honesty as long as you use an avid bleed kit with them, you'll have no issues bleeding them.

FYI Danny Mac used to use these, and he loved them.

  6. Hi Guys,

Bob Macgregor it is then. (will try to get another couple of venues for next year, in talks with two at the moment) The venue has been booked today and I will get entry forms up tonight. I will ease up on Novice and inter sections this time and I have an idea for a good few new sections so they are not repeated. Championship trophies will be awarded after the event. Two classes have been won and two have still to be decided. I would like entries in before the event please as makes the morning a bit less hectic. As usual I will be there from Saturday mid morning to set up and stay over. All welcome?

    Kevin

Johnathon will be there! Drop me an email with entry forms, please!
