the real answer is what you are realy use to. Mags,disks and v-s all have ups and downs but if u think about it they all come out at the same level. Disks: Good, good power good modulation easy to set up no spongey feeling when pulling the brakes No Good, need to blead now and again not every bike comes with disk mounts exspensive to buy and maintain can bend disk in an accident Mags: Good,good power good modulation no spongey feeling when pulling the brakes fairly easy to set up No Good, can snag the hose and burst not that good in the wet (smooth rim) pretty exspencive V-Brakes: Good,cheep to buy easy to set up easy to maintain good stopping power No Good, spongy feeling when braking v- mounts not on much bikes anymore so realy their is not much af a diference with them, i ride bikes with Disks, mags and V-brakes and they all perform well as a street/trials bike.
