They will work. A well set up brake, with black pads + tar will deffinately work for any rider. And koolstops with just a nice grind will work, very well! And the issue with koxx rims and brakes is that the material is very soft, so it doesn't hold grinds as long as rims such as dx32's and d521's. Nothing to do with tar really.

It's deffinately lasted a long time! It's one the early xlite 04 ti's. As for the profile thing, monty use smaller rear hub spacing than bmx hubs/any other mod hub. It's a bit strange really but the link has been made between using a bmx sized hub and it stretching the back end horizontally.

i don't see any reason why they can't? anyone can service hope hubs - and anything that needs replacing can be ordered from hope. i suppose this is correct to a certain extent as some said earlier, as the ratchet rings will have to be done by hope themselves :shifty:

so, you decided it wouldn't work, so you cut your steerer down, then took it to a bike shop to see if it would work? and they told you it wouldn't. you should be ok if you can fit 2/3 of the steerer under your stem clamp.

i don't know about some people, but this is what I always get. I order early in the morning and the goods come the morning after, standard delivery charge, normally with wiggle and crc..
