nowadays the 'pollution' produced by cars is a lot less harmful that say, 10 years ago. Catalitic convertors and other new fangled trickery takes care of that for us, if car pollutions really damaged our health directly then i think we would have noticed and done something about it by now. Plus i've never heard of anyone getting lung cancer or other problems as a direct cause of car pollution. I have however heard/seen many people getting ill from smoking and it's proven fact that it damages you health, it even says it on the packet. I would much rather run behind a modern car/truck for an hour than sit next to a smoker for 15 minutes.

They should only be allowed to smoke in there homes, not in public places. Why should non-smokers have to be put in a position that jepordises their health? Fair enough in Pubs and Clubs that allow smoking, it's the non-smokers choice weather or not they go there, but in train stations, bus-stops and in the street everyone needs to use these public facilities and so they should be made as safe and healthy as possible. Naturists aren't allowed to strole around naked in public, only in there homes or in special resorts and their interests don't cause cancer or lung disease, so why should smokers be allowed to blow/waft smoke in your face?

ok, if you have already owned another car and wanted a bit more character then fair enough. Its just that some people go straight for a mini just becasue other people say its cool, i'm sure you must have some kinda idea what i mean. After all, its just a car, and not a very good one at that. Sure, it WAS a bit of a British icon and a great car in its time, but for me it's just not got that 'wow a mini' factor any more. I know many people will disagree, and think it's still a classic, and for many reasons it is (the monte carlio ralley mini is an awesome little car with a great history) but nowdays i don't undertand why anyone would go for a banger of a mini, over a reliable run around such as a polo or a fiesta. For me it's a great project car, i love the twin bike engine convertions, and the wide arches, and the stretch limo or mini wheelie editions but as a first time run around, there's no reason to buy one, and deffinatly no reason to boast about in, becasue times have changed and there are a lot better options around.

works good in the short term, but chances are you'll need to re-re-pair later on. My mates always used to re burst but mine are fine, they are easier to carry as-well. (Y)

I used to love minis, now i can hardly stand them. Around 13 years ago it was a regular first time car, good run about in comparison to other cars at the time, cheap and cheerful. But nowadays they just seem like another way of racking up cool points. Imo, mini's are good as a project, and i love seeing nice ones that have had a lot of time spent on them, but why would anyone want it as their first time car, when there are alot better and cheaper alternatives nowadays? I'm not having a go at you but i'm just interested as to why you chose that (not so tip top condition) mini over a Clio, Fiesta or Polo? which i bet are a lot cheaper to run, and a lot better cars. And why is there so many topics on them? i don't make whole topics on my car nor does anyone else. Fair enough if it was a ferrari or something, but its just a crappy old mini.

haha i kinda liked it, was pretty weird but in a good way. Made a nice change. Shame about the quality but you explained why so no biggie. Nice up at the start too and i would of been slippin all over them wite posts in the wet. You couldn't even pay me to smoke, nevermind blow my own hard earned cash on it. I don't even like being in the same place as smokers cos it just pisses me off. I hope the government enforce a full scale 'no smoking in public' ban, then when we see people smoking we can run over and stamp on there face, vigilante style. :P

Yeh i got one back in febuary. I sold it about 3 weeks ago. It's deffo the best handheld console, but like almost everything the novelty soon wears off. I had 3 games, JAP version of RidgeRacers and the US versions of Tony Hawks and Fifa Soccer. All 3 were awesome games, and helped pass many boring free periods with my mates. We had little tournaments and stuff on tony hawks and had a 3 player wireless link up on Ridgeracers with my mate and this other geek who had one. I also had numerous episodes of Family Guy and Southpark on it, and a few bmx/trials videos. It was mint, but as soon as i left school i never used it, so i flogged it on the bay because it'll depreciate loads ofter the UK launch. (Y)

Now they ponce around on a girls bike wearing a gum sheild??? LAME. I wonder what would happen to me if i ran outta the trees pretended to 'trip' and pushed him off, although it would be hard to disguise it as a accident cos i would be laughing to hard.
