  1. Hopefully that didn't result in an injury. I've seen a few of those failures before.
  2. Just a few pictars of the bike when I built it. It now has a bigger rotor in the rear and both rotors are polygon style now.
  3. That's one of the best mods I have ever seen. Would be a shame to scratch that
  4. Pretty much the same setup. 160mm front and 203 rear. I would recommend to use use Kool stop pads for the Avids as they lock up is better and last way longer. I usually put triflow into the cable housing for smoother pull action. There is no bullshit maintenance like bleeding or worrying about busting a line.
  5. There is a special tool that allows you to push the race onto the fork. You basically slide it onto the steer tube and then hit it with the hammer and it pushes the race onto the bulged part of the steer tube.
  6. Riding a mod for long distances in the urban setting is way more annoying than riding a stock. I personally like mods but they kill my lower back.
  7. Tar is good if you ride lots of urban and it is not wet or dusty. Then you don't need to grind and your pads will last; however, a hint of moisture will spell trouble.
  8. So the cranks are straight and the pedal threads are in good shape as well?
  9. Yeah that's why I am trying to get the full member status so that I can actually contact the sellers
  10. Well even for burns I would have to get from tartybikes or chainreactioncycles. We don't have distributors for those any more. I've seen a few snapped Tensiles. I would prefer the crank to twist before they snap
  11. So my current cranks are on the bent side now and I am thinking of getting new ones. What is the people's take on TryAll vs CNCed Echos? I've seen a few Echo/Zoo cranks which got twisted in a relatively short period, and I know that TryAlls had a lot of issues a few years ago. (at least in US) I don't have the money to get the burns, (although maybe used ones) but would like to get cranks that will remain straight for at least a year and a half. I am about 150lbs and most of the crank damage is due to failed taps.
