  1. I can easily recommend singlewalled rims.. Only downside is, whan you get a dent, it goes outwards ruining the brake totally I would say that double walled rims are worth the 100g ekstra with my riding
  2. The guys i ride with every day have either Bmx or Dirt cycles..Makes everyone happy when it comes to riding spots Love that with 24" i do not concentrate about height or length anymore, just having fun on my bike! Mark vids made me want to do lines and beeing smooth..Therefor i bought myself an Inspired..
  3. Freewheel sound is lovly on my brakeless Inspired..Kind of annoying on my trialsbike 48clicks sound much much nicer than 108 clicks ..
  4. All the brakeless Vids from the Tartybike guys inspire me TRA vids is very goo motivators aswell

    Deng?

As the bike stands now it has only two deng parts! TR nondisc fronthub, and Echo TR freewheel. I have some deng parts on order though, Sl Lever, Ti freewheel, Ti cog, Sl pedals. In my eyes Deng stuff is great.. Strong, light stuff at a nice price!
  7. The topic os almost 1year old.. He rides a slate2 now i think..

  9. There are no gap there now! This pic was taken before the first ride The bolts are not too long..I might try the tape, its a bit easier than the can
  10. I do not have any laying around anymore.. I have three possible solutions on the problem Make a mini washer of a coke can, wrap the bit of can around the sylinder, or glue them to the TR clamps.. Though, that would maybe make it too tight? 2nd idea is to "mill" down the lower clamp, so that i can tighten more.. 3rd solution is to buy regular clamps..Some beefier ones, Echo SL or Viz or somthing reinforced! EDIT: 4th solution: Change for my old Vbrakes..Have used them for 2years now, no problems...except if you get a big dent in your rim..Therefor i bought the Magura, so that i can run the rims longer.
  11. Hey. Bought some Echo TR clamps 2-3 weeks ago And now they cant clamp the magura kalippers tight enough! Am i doing it wrong? Did i ruin them by tighten the bolts too much and bend the clamps? Is the new style kalippers slightly smaller in diametre? You can see in the pic from the first day that they are slightly bended..
  12. Really nice bike! Love the Spec. Think you should have grinded the tubes thinner, and not making big holes in your toptube! That might be better strenght wise How is your front rim holding up? I have the same on my bike, gets alot of beating, still true as an arrow!
  13. Loved the Phanter name..Would be cool if you kept it! Gazza: That's cheap, was looking at your site Tritonframes. com or something..Could not find a price, so estimated that it would be to expensive for me! You should write the price on your site!
  14. Your front brake is a Tektro Auriga..Its a cheap brake, the ones that i have tried would be ok for trials. Would change it when you start to gap to front, but its deffo good enough for a first bike =) Its alot of spacers on your rearhub because you have a ordinary bike hub. Its built for having 8 or 9 cogs, or kasette as it's called. I had a Trialtech Sport stem, and a Trialtech Sport handlebar on my old Long Pitbull. Felt nice! You should change the handlebar, and not just the stem. Think its like 58cm or something, trials bars should be 70cm ++ You have 25.4mm diameter on your bars aswell, so your handlebar yould not fit most trial stems. You could ask Tartybikes what handlebar and stem they recommend to use on your bike You measure the length of your bike from the front axle to the rear.
  15. heh, does anybody remember his very first frames? He has come a long way since then, your frame looks soo nice!
  16. Haha, don't know why i forgot to check tartybikes But you guys do not have the Sl lever Oh well, might order the freewheel in some days. Thanks!
  17. Hey. Have a 72ep freewheel on my bike now. Would love to try more ep aswell as save some weight. Does enybody know of a shop that have the Echo Sl Ti freewheel in stock? Cheers
  18. Was the same on mine.. Could not turn it at all with my fingers. Had to use a old chain and a pair of pliers to get it on.
  19. Enos are actually looser than every other freewheel. (tartybikes says 0.005" bigger than normal)
  20. I have a Echo TR freewheel on Rockman cranks..Was really sketchy to get it on. I ensured that it was threaded right on, and threaded it slowly on. when i was done there was alot of metal "shavings", so the rockman threads (same with any cranks really) is abit too big diameter on.
  21. Good buy! in my eyes, you could need something like a 20-25degree*120mm stem and a riserbar. Would make the bike alot easier to get on the rear wheel. Looks like the rear hub is a standard Xc hub..So that might be a thing you change later on. The pads on the rear is for Xc aswell, if the brake is bad you should change them to trials specific.
  22. Nice frame! Love Marinos..Want one myself, would be nice to try my own geo and all.. I know the old Koxx Excessboy had a geo like yours Only with 80+ bb..
  23. i am considering to buy some new parts just for fun New Pedals - 20g New grips -20g New ti freewheel - 30g TI rear cog -10g? Alloy and Ti bolts -20g? Cutted knobs off tyre -45g OR mount 2.2 Race King supersonic on rear - 100g Cut the steerer to the right lengt -30g Echo Sl leverblade -20g New snail cams -5g Short in both brakehoses -10g? New fantasy weight : 7500g
  24. Chopped off some knobs in the middle of the tyre, and some sideknobs. Saved 50g, and the tyre feels alot better! Can run a little higher pressure, and still have more grip Did also tilt the bars abit forward compared to the pics, and now its abit better on the rear wheel and the cockpit does not feel soo small anymore
  25. Yeap..The left one is welded 1mm lower than the right!
