What top cap do you have ? If you have one with holes in it you could stick a rod or something like that down there and that would stop it from spinning Do you have a hole in the bottom of your forks ?

HaHa Normally i never clean my bike even when its really really muddy If you just keep riding it and all the dirt and mud just falls off.if not use a damp piece of fabric and wipe around everywhere so you dont get the hole bike wet E.g chain and brakes So no bearing get messed up or nutting gets rusty
