Yep, All your points do have positive affects to the hub, but do make it heavier. Scott Wilson is our only 26" rider that runs a front freewheel and he has been testing the free hub body now for 5 months. So the Alloy body seems to be going really well. To be honest, Although there may be riders out there running rear disc the majority still run rim brakes. So to save weight we went without. Very similer story with the bolts, Scott has had no trouble with his bolts so why over bulk?

Looks like it was nice and sunny, Think he is doing another one now as i speak.

Well thats what Andrei said the other day, Whats the heavy thing on there though? The weight of the frame joe rides has not been announced so it might be lighter then an XTP.

Have you ever ridden one? I'm no star on a trails bike but I love messing about on mine. And I've had the choice of any of the proto types, Limeys etc. If your just getting into it you will have more fun on a bike with a geo like that. We didn't just randomly make that geo, We did it for a reason. For beginners! If fact I'm just gonna go and play on mine now

Just asked him, Its 8.3KG.

Ay up wes, Where can we see the rest of the results? Wish we as in Onza had gone like planned.

got a Text off Scott, Sounds as though Drei came 9th over all just 1 place of the finals. Not too sure about the rest of the brits but well done to them all.

I completely agree, apart from his brilliant riding ability the main reason we signed him was because he has such a great attitude. His personality rubs off on so many people. I mean look at this picture, He drives to schools all over Devon doing demos and raising "trials awareness" to so many kids. This really swayed him to sign for us because he wanted some "more affordable bikes to be displayed" so that after he has done the demo, When the kids come rushing up to him and say " wow, how much is your bike and where can i get one from" he can show that trials is not just £800 bikes with no seats.

Joe likes drilling but I dont think he is the type of weight weenie that is after the lightest bike ever, He just knows that it helps when the bike is lighter. In other words I don't think he has weighed it. We will soon see if it makes a difference as he is competing this weekend in Barca, fingers crossed, He deserves some recognition on an international level as he is an awesome rider.

Hmmmm....1. Joe took these snap shots just before he packed his bike up for Barcelona and then he e-mailed me to see what I thought of the paint job. He is not David Bailey for Christ sake.. 2. I'm not driving 5 hours to Exeter to book a studio and take some quality pics of a paint job that might not even come into production Just thought you guys might like to see the pics he sent. Rims will come like that as standard, He has not drilled them himself.

Its a regular Limey 2, He really enjoys it now he is used to it. Burton signature frame will be about soon.

In all fairness it was a pretty sweet street frame 6 years ago when it was designed, but lets not go off topic.

Winstantley Website Doing Onza Mod's At Low Price.
Joe@Onza replied to Daborn Meister's topic in Trials Chat
I'm having a meeting with them today so the price's should change rather soon as I think they have last years prices up. -
We could try it but it could mess with other areas of the bike eg Geo etc. which then would make all these bad boys late. So we might surprise you. Trying to get Glastonbury tickets at the moment and cant even get on see tickets.com

Release dates are still a little hard to pin down as we have a few things to change. Disc mounts, chain rub etc. We have decided to work on one at a time. The Limey 1.six is our main aim, We are changing the back end to make it super stiff. Ice is close to being finished though. For shipping and paint job reasons they will have the same'ish public release dates. I would rather have these frames bang on before you guys can ride them. Wild stab in the dark would be 2 Months. 1 month to get final proto's and then 1 month to make the production models. Gotta think of 5 new paint jobs before the then.
