  1. generally because of the smaller wheels 20" bikes brakes work better (leverage of the wheel? ) so i'd say a 160mm bb7 would be plenty powerfull enough, i have never riden this setup so i wouldnt know for sure
  2. yes but bb7's are aparently more on/off than a hope trial
  3. pisspot helmets are good because they can be hit over and over again without needing to be placed. their cheap. they cover the vast majority of you head they dont have many ventilation holes in them so you generally get hot quicker. their also heavier. alot of riders use a xc style helmet as their light and keep ur head cool i always found their much more adustable than pisspot helmets. but your meant to replace your helmet if you hit/knock it. i have a cheapish xc style helmet because i think it looks better than a pisspot and it wont cost much to replace. it doesnt really matter what helmet you get, as long as it fits and protects you head
  4. not if he kept banging on about that he knows exactly what trials riders need to use
  5. a try-all freewheel + fixed hub = about as much as a pro 2
  6. to be honest it doesnt really matter. personally i've heard of more freewheels skipping than hubs... personal preference i suppose
  7. i've jus heard about them skipping all the time etc. my pro 2 has never skipped to date
  8. really is there any point in arguing with him, he's obviously not going to listen. just ignore him. keep the forum clean, yeah?
  9. fair enough. I can see what you mean by them being cheaper, but if they break as easy as it sounds then you might aswell fork out for a chris king? or any decent hub such as a profile hub.
  10. Is there actually any point in front free wheels? I always read/hear about peoples freewheels breaking and constantly skipping. Just get a decent hub?? Don't get as many complaints about any freewheeling hub.
  11. I used to ride with no more than 15psi in either tires... after pumping them up to 25psi + i find that i have more control over my bike. Just experiment to find a psi you like.
  12. I've recent got into trials and I bought a T-rex spec 1. to be honest, its pretty damn good for the money. the only thing which isn't too great is the bar and stem which are kinda uncomfortable
  13. well when he kicks at the pedals there would be less movement until an engagement point. therefore meaning that it will engage quicker, making him able to gap a bit bigger... but 2 foot?!?!
