  1. you do realise it will decrease the quality?
  2. a smooth rim is how a rim comes when its new. it hasn't had a grind or anything.
  3. if you get it off tarty it will come with a set of green rock pads, just get some zoo! and put the zoo's on the back and the rock pads on the front.
  4. probably near 1000 quid if you could afford it, it would be a beast
  5. also alot more than his budget
  6. it would be more expensive, but will probably be better quality. do you have any experience in building bikes?
  7. i know they both are. i never said the spec 2 wasnt good. i just said it seems better value but could get the spec 1 and use the money for something more worth while for it.
  8. you seem to be getting the most expensive prices you can find (look at tarty much cheaper...) now that you have those prices take off the value of the stuff its replacing on the spec 1
  9. since when did they have carbon bars? doesn't seem to be 200 quids worth to me.
  10. i said value, not quality. ofcourse you're going to get more for your money but there doesn't seem to be 200 quids worth of difference.
  11. you get the same pads with the spec 1 too, green rock pads. my friend had the spec two and i think the spec 1 is better value. get the spec 2 if you dont care about spending all your money on something you might give up on in the first 6 months.
  12. dont you go to school? if you do, do you write like that in lessons?!?
  13. wow. very nice video. liked it very much.
  14. what you need is a lot of morphine (super pain killers) then you'll feel no pain. its just getting hold of it
  15. well i have the spec one, its a good bike to start on but once you get alot better you will find you'll need to change some things. i had to change the hub as it only had 16 engagement points, for someone learning it will be ok for the first couple of months, i also need to change the bb as i snapped it apart from those things its a pretty good bike. i'd say get the spec 1 and change the hub to a hope pro 2 trials and some decent pads (zoo! pads)
  16. pretty good video im guna turn my back garden into a trials park now
  17. how would he know if he's good at it? he hasnt done it before.
  18. the holroyd frame is meant to have really nice geometry (1060 wheel base +20bb rise) you wont be able to run gears on it though. and isn't it 750 quid? quite alot for a starters bike. onza t-rex ***. just strip the paint off it and it'll look amazing
  19. set it up so it goes upwards and cable tie it to your frame
  20. errm who said it did have something to do with iron?
  21. put pressure on the pedals then tighten the tensioner?
  22. never known something to evapourate out of an air tight system. although they do freeze (unless you use a bit of anti freeze in)
  23. im also 5 ft 10 and i ride a 26" fine. because its your first bike i'd say get a onza t-rex. its 500 quid so u have 200 to spare. their great to learn on, i have learnt loads on mine. their also pretty good value, so you wont waste all of your money if you decide you dont like the sport.
