Just arranged my internview for the foundation degree course for next week. So need to gather a bit of a portfolio. Any particular way i should display stuff etc? Any help would be appreciated

Got a question for you guys but not really sure what or how i am asking. Theres a choice: -Foundation Degree in Graphic Design or -National Diploma in Graphic Design These are two choices i currently have to possibly go on to college and do. What i am wanting to know, is in a non like rude way, which would gain you more respect with an employer. Like which looks 'better' on a CV or something? Cheers James

Just curious. I've been out of education for a little while now and popped down to my local college to see what graphic design course's and came across a foundation degree in graphic design. I was just wondering if anyone's done one of these and thinks its worth it. Cheers James

Jon, the only thing that s abit of a bug for me with the poster is the big text is to close and tight to the edges. I personally feel like it needs some space around it.

Ok heres the second attempt of today with using lesser anchor points. I personally see a great improvment in the smoothness but i will let you guys be the judge of that

Yeeah, obviously still getting used to it. But the pen tool on photoshop seems to have no comparison to that of illustrator. And you will have a visual report later today i hope

Ok so, I have a logo i've drawn up for a band. They really wanted it like identical to the style of superdry, so please dont go hurling any insults for the obvious similarity in design But i now have the need to recreate the design in photoshop/illustrator but am failing ever so harshly at it I've scanned in the design and am trying to go over the lines etc with the pen tool but just cant seem to crack it. Anyone got any guidence or tips on how to do it? The designs below: Apologies for the shockingly bad sketch up, i'm really no artist aha

Aha well, the whole selection could be useful. But i'm sure thats a bit troublesome. Also a question for you designers. I've recently been considering upgrading myself to a Mac, but have had draw aways. Such as you can get a highly specced pc for the same price if not cheaper. What makes a Mac the designers desired toy?
