  1. you would probably find the bottom bracket quite low....and it might look a bit wierd
  2. ahhhhh! so thats what those other bits are for, im a bit out of touch with all the recent kit at the moment... ..ive got some of them braze on mounts in my box of bits somewhere ....when i bought my 4 bolt magura mounts! cheers, thats proper helpfull! cheers to john shrewsbury aswell, i'll call clive unless i can get hold of some pashley forks get them bits brazed on
  3. good plan, i can't seem to get on with discs! anyone got any pics??? just had a look at your profile and your white inspired is on there....that bike is sweet!
  4. I think this breed of 24'' trials bikes absolutly rule! i really like the look of the inspired frame, and the ashton et24, (does anybody know any shops where i could get an ashton?) i mainly ride streety type trials and reckon one of these little beasts would be the nuts...... also if i was to splash out and spend the banks money on one, i would definatly not want a disc.....so what forks would be compatable for a front maggie? i know the ashton forks have 24'' mounts but they are so rare i would have to wait ages for a second hand set to pop up on ebay! all comments and pictures of your 24'' bikes welcome
  5. hello, how do you know when you are validated? and how long did it take you to get validadted?
  6. tell me about it! i can't wait to get validated, i have posted several replies/topics with perfect grammar and still no luck
  7. as the title says really, i try and get out a couple of times a week, im pretty average on a bike...got a good spot for riding......im a bit of an oldie ....26 next month but hey, it'd be nice to have some riding buddies!
  8. i got the wheelbase wrong on the mad, its 1055 or something similar and to be honest i reckon it looks pretty sweet now, ive been tweaking it over the weekend and im pretty pleased with it! i have been looking at the geo of the zoo pitbull and the wheelbase on that in the short version is very similar to what ive got, i may get one in the summer....but for now i reckon hammer the M.A.D for a couple of months and just enjoy it for what it is, i mean its solid, and it seems pretty strong so hey!? im just going to ride it!! thanks for the comment i totally agree with you mate, i wish i had started this topic before jumping in the deep end and buying a long frame, to be honest i am kind of back in the learning stages of trials as i havent ridden for 7 years so what i have got is perfectly suited to my ability......thanks for all the comments guys, i know what im after now!
  9. I think you can only run a chris king hub in these frames (according to the ebay description) it might be worth bearing that in mind as a back wheel will cost you a small fortune! correct me if i'm wrong
  10. hello there, i am in exactly the same boat, except i live way down south! i go out on my bike and sometimes find i cant commit to anything? it is so annoying when 7 years ago i would drop off phone boxes, bottlebanks, bus shelters etc with absolutly no fear! i am 26 next month.....aybe i'm getting old!?
  11. easy to bunnyhop? i need to be able to chuck it about, and it needs to be good on the back wheel, i know the seat tube is 9 inches centre to centre, but how long is it all the way to the top? cheers guys! still got my pure!
  12. as the title says, and i am just wonderig if anybody has one of these and how they perform?
  13. hey, i built the control up, and it didn't feel much different to the pure, apart from the bottom bracket seemed a little bit lower, so we swapped back! but he let me keep the hope headset! bargain! awayway, after messing around with my other frame, (a giant team trials) and getting jabbed in the back of the leg by the seat i decided that frame was no good either? so what now? ive got a saracen team trials M.A.D frame so i built that up and it rides so nice, (it is the silver one which normally sells at £1295 as a whole bike) the only problem is it looks like a kids bike! its ok, but the wheelbase is 965mm or something like that....really really short considering the echo was 1090! so im really not sure now, maybe a base frame? has anyone had one of these???
  14. hey, this may sound stupid but i thought i had may aswell ask, when you say 'deng frames' is that a certain style? i used to ride trials 7 years ago and i am just getting back into it, i was under the impression that 'deng' was a brand......i am wrong i take it?
  15. i have just swapped my mint pure for a control with one of my mates, its either an 06 or 07, little bit tattier than i would have liked but hey, at least i dont have to worry about selling mine now and losing loads of money, and he chucked in a hope headset which was £60 so i can't complain really, thanks for the advice guys, im going to build her up tomorrow....fingers crossed!!
  16. cheers mate, how did you get to that? when i searched tarty for that frame i came up with this http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/category.php?id=14 and it isnt on there!?
  17. hello everyone, i don't suppose that anyone knows this information? for any of the justice frames - any year i mean, as i know the silver ones are sllightly different to the black ones...
  18. ahh, i get what your saying, it does feel like im jacked up real high, i suppose my riding style is more like martyn ashton (no way near as good) but he seems to be able to fly into things at speed, especially in the old days (1998 - 2000) i suppose im probably better off on a lower bb frame then?? ......maybe an ashton justice!! does anyone know the geomatry for these?
  19. get the echo 7075 cnc cranks mate, hard as nails! you can get them here http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=183 .....i had a set and im the best part of 14 stone (on a good day) .......and they have never given me any jip!
  20. cheers i will see if i can get a good price for my echo and take it from there.....
  21. .....so willthe short control be better for bunny hopping? ....or do you reckon a pitbull would be better? cheers for your help
  22. im ok for the minute bud, just bought the try-all one so need to give it a chance......cheers anyway )
  23. just been looking on tarty and a couple of frames fit that description quite well, adament a1 short or a zoo! pitbull short.........maybe i should get one of them!? ive just got the geo off tarty and the short pure is still a bit long with a high bb .... Wheelbase: Short 1080mm, Long 1095mm Chainstay Length: 385mm BB Rise: 35mm Head Angle: 70.5 degrees Centre of BB shell to top centre of head tube: Short 640mm (25.25"), Long 655mm (25.75") i will definatly keep it in mind though dude, how old is it? mine was bought at the begining of december, been ridden a handful of times so is very good condition (now in bits as ive built the old giant up!) .....thanks for the offer, quite fancy a short pitbull though........ how tall are you mate?
  24. cool man, thanks for the help, im a little bit out of touch with all the latest kit, what is the benefit of a long frame then? is it that they are more stable???
