  1. Where is this place? I wouldn't mind coming along this afternoon. Al
  2. Im just getting back into trials and live in the Beeston area. Im definatley up for riding this Saturday 1st march any place near by or in town. Im new though so I dont know any good spots or even recognise the places mentioned above. Hope the weather holds out! Al
  3. I can't say it any better than what’s already been said but it is inspiring to know there are so many riders the same age as me out there. I though everyone gave up!
  4. Who'da thunk? Yeah I got the wierd clips out and some proper icky thumpin with a hammer but I didnt want to take it too far. i'll try some heat. Its not knackered or anything but it's square taper and my middleburns are ISIS.
  5. Good stuff, I'll get the train through. Its should be a laugh seeing if I can still ride. Al
  6. I just got a second hand leeson frame and planning on building it up for street too. The thing is I cant seem to get the bottom bracket out!
  7. Is anyone out riding around Nottingham this weekend? I just got my trials bike today after a few years off and im dying to get out on it. Al
  8. You have recieved a new feedback. Below are details concerning the new feedback. Type: Good Rating SummaryA+++++ Fast delivery, very pleasent to deal with! Given By: aldo You were the: Seller Date: 1202163034
  9. Last I saw there was quite a bit of North Shore style beams/planks/see-saws etc at Chicksands. You could have a whale of a time with a hardtail down there.
  10. Ive just moved to Nottingham and I've got a trials bike on its way to me in the post. I've not ridden in over four years but I'll be out riding asap. Friday afternoon hopefully at the earliest. On the above point; stock bikes are much more practical for street as you quite often need a quick getaway, but thats half the fun.
  11. I was wondering if there were any dedicated Trials parks in the UK. I've fruitlessly searched google for one. I know there's an indoor motorbike trials arena in sheffield but I cant imagine they would let us loose on it.
  12. I finally got my hands on a new trials bike (well, an old brisa off eBay) and was wondering if there are any other riders out in Nottingham. Ive not riden in about 4 years so it should be a laugh riot seeing if I can still ride. p.s. Its got a screw on freewheel which seems a bit strange, any thoughts on those? I'm probably going to replace it asap.
  13. No, no, you're missing the point. I'm not talking about the farce that is validation. I just want to contact a member to buy a bike and start riding trials again. But I can’t because some genius thinks I have to prove that spell. I really couldn’t care less about the pointless social hierarchy on an internet forum. [/rant] Basically I would be very grateful if someone could contact The Foamoi Refresher and let him know I want to buy his leeson.
  14. Im trying to contact a member on this forum to buy a bike they're advertising in the classified section but i cant reply in that forum as im a new member and I cant send a message either. Any thoughts?
  15. Im in a very similar position myself. Im just getting back into trials after 5 years off. I loved the old cannondale ashton rode in Chainspotting. Those were the days. I think that the fact it still resembles a 'normal' mountain bike is what makes it special. From a spectators point of view aswell its easier to appreciate the skill involved in riding trials on a bike like that rather than the heavily modified, seatless, 9" seatube, singlespeed, 24" wheeled trials bikes you see today. Just my tuppence worth.
