    not always...

if you've got the stock onza brake levers they are pretty poor; avid sd7 or shimano deore levers are great upgrades (i prefer the deore as it has a split clamp so they're easier to remove/refit)

i forget how the onza discs look/set up/whatever. but if they're like a bb7 with split/dome washers then replacing the washers and re-setting the caliper can help massively. the avid set up guide on youtube will help you out there.

a new set of brake cables will also help; linear slics are usually pretty good. cut the outers carefully; don't use your dads rusty old cable cutters. they will f**k up the ends so the cable can move around and compress more so your energy braking is wasted: i used to push the cable into a grinding disc to get it nice and flat/square.

better brake pads and new disc rotors won't go amiss either. if you can get the trialtech/jitsie flavoured ones you'll be laughing.

or replace them with bb5 or bb7 calipers; they are outrageously powerful for the price.

Was just going on personal experience used a couple cable disc brakes set them up nice and tight got them going strong but then after a while the cable snapped wouldn't personally use cable disc after that lol

  2. Chain has seized and its low in tension are you mod or stock riding (20" 24" or 26") mods just used chain tensioners and pull the rear wheel back until its slightly tight then tighten axle bolts to finish the tension off with plenty of lubricant or grease on chain to help it or get a new one for something around £14.00 the pistons sound like they need some serious lubricating remove pistons and i personally would soak them in some form of grease to help them then strip the grease off after a soak then reapply the o rings and put back together new fresh bleed if its a hs33 id personally water bleed some like magura blood then give that a shot let me know if this helps :)

any hope servicing guide will work, the only difference between the trials and xc brakes is the size of the pistons to acheive different ratios, so long as you find a guide with a similar lever you should be able to work everything else out easily enough. just make sure you order the right consumable parts so you can re-build it.

i looked around and cannot find anything with the same caliper  and cannot find a guide or video of anyone taking a hope piston apart lol il carry on looking.

  4. Hey all i have a question i have some hope trial zones front is amazing working fine but the pistons on the rear wont stay in no matter what i do there is always constant rub on the disc ive re bled i thought maybe over filled it nope so let some fluid out made it slightly better but still the pistons are coming out i need some help please :)

What kind of wives do you guys have? Mine doesn't even notice the difference between my Inspired and my Rockman, let alone would she go online and order a new bike for me (I wouldn't even want her to for obvious reasons).

As a child I told my parents how "really cool" the new Gameboy game was and later got it (oh surprise) as a christmas present. Do you do this with your wives as well?

"Honey look. These new Jitisie bikes are sooo cool!"
