  1. I really have been trying to make sense out of it but I really can't. What do you want to say with this?

If you are a basher who breaks a lot of parts I suggest you buy try all hole style rim

If you are smooth and don't have problems destroying parts buy a K2 rear rim.

  2. That's what I did. Then I greased up the piston w/ Military Grease and water bled it (50:50). BTW, here's what Tarty says about Racing Line and water:

"Please Note: As with all the Hydraulic Rim Brakes we supply, these levers are only covered under warranty when used with mineral oil. This warranty period covers manufacturing and materials defects for 6 months. However, through our own testing we have found them to work when using a water and anti-freeze solution."

Mine is 2 months old already and I don't suppose it's gonna break in the remaining 4 months. :D

I'm not sure what military grease is ? If it's designed to be used with rubber it will be fine, it's normally red in colour.

Water and antifreeze should be fine, 50/50 might be a bit much antifreeze and swell the o rings. It it can't really damage any parts other than the seals which can be replaced easy any way.

  3. Really not sure about that as the use of profile hubs / king bmx hubs seems significantly lower than yesteryear! the influx of reasonably reliable FFWs seems to have taken over....

Couldn't agree more- I was a Chris king user for years as well

  4. just a question :

Where it would be good? at comps, where you are aiming for the lightest bike, where every gram counts?

Everyday trials, where it would be probably much cheaper just to run a normal tube?

I can see why they use it for cross, but for trial..I am not sure

Tubeless setups are normally at least as heavy if not heavier than standard tube but they roll far better as they don't bounce of bumps the same. I run tubeless on my mtb and found an impressive difference when I switched.

  5. What's as30 then? Expensive but very strong? Always wondered about ISIS stuff, is it compatible with that octalink stuff?

As 30 is a new system crewkerz use, 30mm through axle made from alloy.

Just like the shamano saint design.

Isis is a splined system just like shimanos octaink but they arnt compatible with each other

  6. They could well have gone back to INA but iv not heard any mention of it.

Yea they should be slightly compressed by the interference.

If you find that when you press them in they are pretty slack you should contact hope, unless you have an accurate way to measure the hub bore ?

The bearing bores could have to much axial runout. Basically not Parallel to each other.

I would have said you should get 2/3 years use from the bearings, good luck I hope it was just a shity pair of bearings.
