How much weight would it add if i cut an old innertube n wrapped it around a new one to stop flats? Would it feel strange?

No it didnt because the derailuer is spring loaded so it was changing the gear of my bike without me touching it. It's only a temperary measure until i get paid in two weeks proberly, but the home made tension might be something i look into.

From this: To this: The chain was the exact right length, just means i can't take the wheel out without splitting the chain. So if anybody has a split link they want to give me feel free.

Woooh thanks mate that was a very detailed reply. I actually ride my bike in 5th already so i think it would be perfect and its always been in 5th, so why is it still getting jammed?

Right well as most of you know i have a mad phase 1.2, and for some reason the chain keeps jamming up on the front cog when i peddle and is really dangerous. So, what i was thinking was, if i take off all the shifter and cables and shorten my chain so the derailuer is practically upright, this would help. Also is it possible to have the derailuer off completely as it annoying, if i can get me chain the exact right length. Heres a pic of my deraileur and gearing on back end. Your comments would be appreciated. Thanks P.S I am getting the single speeded done properly when i get paid.

Yeah im running a maxis highroller on the back, but i'll proberly buy a Dh maxis tube off tarty, they look pretty good. Edit; i'm also running my tyres a little harder because they used to be too flat.

I used to use 2 until i rode with medwaytrials and he suggested using 1 as its easier.

I use one finger mate. You can't get upgraded unless the admin want to upgrade you. Read the rules mate.
