  1. I bet if you bothered to explore you'd find loads of places hidden away, in Colchester we had loads of spots in the stupidest of places because we bothered to go try find them.
  2. I like how you're worrying about the individualness of your half white, half grey cross frame, and want to strip it plain silver or paint it black, the two most common colours for trials bikes ever, to make it more individual
  3. I agree, London aside Leeds is pretty awesome from what I've seen.
  4. What time are the Leeds people getting the train? It would make sense for us to meet at the station and go up together.
  5. I'll even have proper tensioners on my bike so decent chain tension and no chain slap too, should be good.
  6. Anyone have an idea on how much the train is from Leeds to Bradford?
  7. Maaaaaybe, depends how knackered I am from Leeds on Saturday, and how rich I feel.
  8. Looks absolutely beautiful, I'm so so tempted to order one just based on those pics.
  9. I'll actually be going back down to Essex this weekend to see the wife, so I won't actually be coming I'm afraid.
  10. Fingers crossed the wind will have died down tomorrow some what. I haven't rode my bike in over a year, so be warned, I will be awful. I'll bring my camera though so you might get some decent shots.
  11. That looks waaay thicker than 2.5mm too, imagine a 2.5mm allen key.
  12. I ride right foot forward but always seem in the minority at rides, so it's surprising to see it on top. I also sidehop to the right and it seems the world is designed for people who go left, it's annoying.
  13. Stupid question coming up... Where are the granite walls? Haven't rode Leeds before. Is it all the grey walls outside the station surrounding the statue of the guy on a horse? Google maps it or something.
  14. It really depends on the standard and how dedicated you are obviously. Retiring age for footballers is mid thirties for positions that require pace and late thirties for goalkeepers and centre backs. However, you can obviously continue playing playing football into your 60's and 70's if you so which, albeit at a lower standard. Hans Rey may still be riding at 43, but he wouldn't be able to stand up against younger riders anymore. Most professional sports find you peaking at in the late to mid twenties, and tailing off after 30, so I imagine it's the same for trials in terms of physical condition. However, dedication plays a larger role in trials, it seems to me the average, non professional, trials rider tends to "retire" in the early twenties due to cars, women, university and work coming into their life, and of course just growing up and becoming more sensible and realising that leaping off a massive wall onto a rail could potentially hurt and isn't worth the risk, something that doesn't seem to cross your mind so much when you're younger. Obviously this won't apply to professional riders who treat trials as the number 1 thing in their life and will probably follow the same curve as the rest of sports professionals.
  15. X-Flow is possibly the most generic name possible Oli, I'm disappointed. Looks fantastic though, much better than I imagined when you used to speak about it actually. Website looks super nice too.
  16. People clearly are doing something wrong with discs. I'm a pretty f**king heavy guy and I can't make my Mono Trial 180 slip whatever I do.
  17. This is where you need to rent a private house complete with basement like me Perfect for bike storage.
  18. Actually, is there any kind of normal day when most Leeds riders are out? I want to ride more.
