Put my hose in vice, not to tight, and VERY gently tapped in the barb. Each tap look very closely what direction its slanting in, tap it back and carry on, mine is still working to this very day . You might have to practice a few times before mastering this xD. I got it first time . Hope I've been a help to you . Craig.
