  9. i'm currently running a Saracen Flea4 converted single speed with a 22 tooth chainring at the front and a 16 tooth freewheel at the rear. I thought this was standard practice in trials on 26" rims so i have got on with it and am gettting to grips with most minor moves. But, at my compitition on sunday, the club secretary mentioned that he thought my gearing maybe too high for me. Do i change my front chain ring to a 26 tooth or somthing similar? Please help, Slightly confused over the matter. cheers big ears.

  14. thank you eskimo, good advice, ride safe.
  15. so i can get away with not stretching the bank too much and buy the chainring next week. there isn't 1/8 specific chainring then?
  16. my new 16t freewheel has arrived this morning and it's a 1/8 size, my current chain is smaller and obviously i have to go and buy a 1/8 chain, but does my 22t chainring need changing too?
  17. thank you. hand pump is going on the shopping list. ta ta
  18. hi i've been riding trials for two years when i can, having a family with no garden makes riding time very hard to aquire, so i tend to ride by myself and wondered what pressures (psi) other riders use in both front and rear tyres. I run around 40psi in the front and about 28psi in the rear. is this the same with other riders? A marshall at my club mentioned most run 17psi on the rear! this was far too low for my old tyre but now i have a 44mm wide rim and a big betty 26" 2.4 tyre but haven't got my freewheel yet so haven't used the new set up. cheers peeps. Terry W
