  7. well january the 7th is holiday time and i'm planning on not smoking for the week so i can have a break from the norm, when i get back i'll just have to see how i feel. Family, my mother and my bike, gonna be the best dam holiday ever. DETOX me thinks.
  8. I understand that. And not being with my son scares the life out of me, but getting lung or lip damage years from now doesn't, so call it ignorance, but i don't belive i'm going to die early from smoking, so as said, i want give up but i need to be 100% for it for it to work. Don't hate me, always lived for today never care about tomo. Things change as you get older though. Don't start!
  9. is anyone a former smoker? I enjoy a roll up now and again and again and again, i'm really not bothered about the illness side of things, except maybe losing time with nipper when i do go. But I WILL GO that is a fact. So unless there are going to be major advantages to my fitness in the short term i find it hard to want to give up even if know i NEED to. Cheers dave for the words of wisdom on the other side of the argument.
  10. I'm thinking of giving up smoking, but not 100% commited to it. Has anyone given up and did it really improve your fitness?

  16. if you go to Poole train station, look up and your'll see the main flyover, go under the subway and meet under the flyover.
  17. thank you for the offer tom, but i've got a new tr freewheel for my tr wheel but it's a x-mas present, i've ordered 18t splined sprocket for my original rear wheel, so that'll take care of sunday's riding. I'd be interested in a front wheel if one ever popped up for an ok price though.
  18. great stuff lads, will have to sort out a temp rear wheel as my freewheel has become a fixed-wheel. Room for more if anyone else is interested, 11 at station as per usual i think.

  21. i've looked at the bike bags, but in all honesty why can't you just put it in a suit case it's a trials frame after all. I'm gonna phone easyjet to see what they say. If i do have to get a bike bag what one is best for a trials frame? i have read on t'net that you can get a cardboard box that a cycle originally come in from halfords or other and just pad that out, is that what you did?
  22. I'm off on holiday in january and am keen to take my bike with me, i'm flying with easyjet and don't mind paying the extra sporting goods charge.
