  1. Thanks for all the responses. I guess the poll is as expected really, but I was surprised by some quite helpfull posts. For those of you saying, if ur asking give up its simple etc...it isn't that simple. I have a lot more than just trials going on in my life, unlike some! Hence the thread. The posts from the oldies here are of more relavance and I hadnt thought of having a break then coming back to it in my thirties, but I think thats what I might do. I've really enjoyed getting into trials but its time to move on. On that bombshell, Im off so thanks for coming
  2. Okay I just sold my Onza after doing trials for just over a year. Ive learnt the basics ie. small gaps and pedal ups etc Im just not sure whether to continue trials or to give up. The cons seem to outweigh the pros, so looks like thats all folks Pros... +Its fun and Ive got something to do if Im bored +Satisfaction and rush +Can keep in touch with trials mates +Keeps me fit and gets me out +Its impressive Cons... -Im rapidly approaching thirty so Im too old for messing around on bikes now -Its gonna cost loads to get a decent bike (or to keep repairing one that isnt extortionate) -Havent got the time to practice as Im working, then wana go see my gf on the weekend -The bike takes up space in my flat and has no practical use as a normal bike -Dont have to put up with skanky trials mates or TF -Its not really impressive, anyone can do it, and its not the specialist thing it used to be -The British weather -Injury
  3. really looks like a kiddies bike now
  4. James is gonna be pissed when he finds out u ripped off his plan for his mod!

  6. u just need to find out where Steve lives now
  7. Just get what'll make you happy and make sure you'll like it for the next X number of years you plan to stick with it Screw whatever everyone else thinks!
  8. Seaine - did you message me about my bike? (it went through to junk) let me know and I can sort something out
  9. Sounds like a good ride! Its been a while but Ill be there if the weather is good I've heard about some beasty moves you been doin :cool2:
  10. Arrrgghhhhhh yesss! All the time... on the chain, pedals, chain ring, bash I seem to go through a pair of trousers every few rides How do people not mess up their trousers?! Is there some secret Im missing?

Hello Toby I'm guessing this friend is Disaster Revolver Boy Jeff Bruce Lee I think its both, but predominantly a street bike, so I voted street. It depends how he rides it really. Tobiarse mostly rides it as a trials bike, although he wants to do street moves But hey, we can ask TrialTech Dave next time he's out for a ride with us!
  12. Thats really cool Shouldnt you be called IcemanT now? Maverick
  13. Nice first video stuntman! Ur getting better since I last rode... but hey that was more than a month ago now Cant wait to go out in notts again :1eye: p.s. and well put together 2hammered
  14. How come we have had the same problems with our Onzas hmmm maybe the answers in the question Id be surprised if it lasts if you bodge it back sounds like you need a new hub like me (or axle - Im unsure about this) good news is you have a freehweel so you can get a fixed hub from tarty which arent too steep get the bike fixed in the shed then see you in a few weeks
  15. Looking good Tobias... I like the green - one of those colours most people say wow but would never do themselves! does it feel a lot lighter than the Ciguena? edit Shame you're still on big kiddie-wheels though
  16. That my friend is sweet Im not usually keen on mods, but this one I like I hope it rides as good as it looks! Theres bits I really like and a few Im unsure about, but we can discuss this on a Notts ride
  17. wahoo get some pictures up! Im not riding for a while, but from April Ill be up for it edit: Just seen the pics Id like to have a go on that bad boy Im still yet to find a single mod I like to ride
  18. Yeah - I put up a Google Street View topic about this before this thread in Trials Chat lol
  19. Hey just wondering if anyone has seen Google Maps Street View this would be great for spotting bits for trials Also, has anyone got any collections? In this or Windows Live Local? (A collection is a list of pinpointed places on Google Maps or Live Local for those who dont know) Perhaps you could post them up here if so? I might make a trials rides one for Nottingham... This Street View thing is amazing!
  20. They evolved and are used primarily for firmly holding food in order to tear it apart courtesy of wiki
  21. Yes if carrots had a heart beat I severely doubt Id kill them! they probably WOULD scream if u pulled them out the ground too haha why do humans have canines.. why do men have nipples.. lol
  22. Dont really see killing vegetables as murder, surprisingly enough! The difference defines vegetables from animals before u ask so you asked anyway... animals feel pain, plants dont
  23. "Killing humanely" is a contradiction in terms because killing is an unhumane act in itself in other words, it shouldnt be done at all edit: cba to keep posting si-man... not exactly going mental, but which meat eater is gonna defend vegetarianism? think about it also, why would that be veganism.. (vegans dont eat animal products, which has nothing to do with ending an animals life)
