  1. With the warrently don't you have to get the frame you originaly purchased? If so thats a complete bum because I bought an Adamant Mod-Stock this morning off tarty, bit fed up with not being able to ride+ I now have the chance to go to stock... To be honest I wouldn't fault the frame at all, its really nice to ride and quite whippy, apart from the misfortune, based on how it rode before this I would have got another one... It's Only the fact I wanted to go to stock now, otherwise I would have Stuck with the Gu definatly. Or can you get your money back off the warranty? What did you swap it for? Im alrite, Bit of an all rounder. Cheers, Adam
  2. Dont worry thats the first thing I did, I have absolutly no idea where it started it just appeared one day, but yeh, definatly a week spot in the frame! Its inbetween the two welds, so there must be so much tention along that area which ultimately ended up in this.
  3. Well, as the topics say's Ive managed to snap my Gu! Funny thing is its at the top of the frame where the seat tube would be. Not entirely sure how, Or when I exactly did it, I just noticed the crack before I went out riding. Im not perticulary a heavy rider, so I was quite suprised when I noticed it. Luckly my frame is still within warenty, As I only bought it at the start of the year. So I contaced Trials Uk, who have now contacted Echo and Im waiting on a reply. The snap looks like a manufacturing problem with the frame, rather then an abusive rider, which I am most certainly not as the frame has been well looked after.Ive attaced some pictures bellow. So has anyone else mangage to Snap a frame before putting a single dent in it? Or even snap a gu? Or just me? Cheers Adam.
  4. I had one a while ago, before eventually going back to a Tensile. I would recommend it if you keep it well maintained and greased, I found out the hard way, after months of riding and no maintainace at all, the paws one by one started seazing up. Little did I know until we had angle grinded it off my cranks that, that was the problem. I do find though that the tensile for the value for money is overall a better freewheel. Unless you've been ofered a Try-all freewheel for under £25 I would personaly get a brand new Tensile. Also correct me if im really wrong, But I personaly have never really felt the difference between the two engagement wise they both feel pretty simular, Although the try-all does sound slightly nicer... Cheers, Adam.
  5. Im sure if you ring Tartybikes up they would build up the wheel for you. Thats going to cost you £15 and then your goin to cost you max of £5 to them totaling at £20 whats alot less then your were originaly quoted. Also with a tarty build you've got a peice of mind along with a wheel build. Unless you were considering building the wheel your self, that saves cost totaly. Personaly after thought with my own wheel I decided it wasn't for me, Here's a guide for the wheel build anyways: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/wiki/How_to_build_a_wheel Cheers, Adam.
  6. Does anyone know when the 08 Adamant/Echo/Zoo frames come out? I heard it was ment to be the end of may? Also does anyone know if they are bringing out a New Mod-Stock? Cheers, Adam.
  7. Sorry cut down the spokes. I think I might give it a go then, the guide looks pretty detailed, and obviously any other problems I have I can make a post on here, Cheers for the advice Adam.
  8. I did consider that, If i did attempt it I would always have it in the back of my mind that thats my handy work rather then that of a professional. For £15 off Tarty its a good build and sence of security goes along with it. Its got to take a good amount of time to build though right? Also wouldn't I need to cut down the specific size for that rim and that hub? Cheers Adam.
  9. Cheers for the help man, really appreciated, Adam.
  10. Cheers for the advice, So could I send the hub to Tarty and get it to build it for me, I understand they do a wheelbuild for £15 stating "parts not bought from us". But under 'Please note' It says : This item is for customers who have not bought all the component parts of a wheel (rim, hub and spokes) from us at the same time as purchasing a wheelbuild. So can I still send the hub to them and get them to build it. Or have I got the wrong end of stick on this one? Cheers Adam.
  11. Currently I am building up a Mod-Stock, The rear wheel of my Mod is built on a Chris king bmx hub. I was wondering is it worth me selling the rear wheel as a whole, or geting it built as 26" wheel for the Mod-Stock. This would ultimately save my buying a new king or alternative Hub, but is it worth the hassle? Cheers, Adam.
  12. I am currently running a 04 magura rear brake, I used to run a 06 and really hated the way it felt. I noticed on Select Bikes they are selling the Deng levers at £10 each. As I am currently building up a new bike and had the 06 lying around I was interest to see if the lever is a good investment. Does anyone use the lever there magura and find any improvement to the way it feels? Cheers Adam.
  13. Are you doing the same routine everytime you go to the gym? If so put some variation into it, your body gets used to the same thing over and over again, or get bigger add more weight to your lifts and push yourself each time you go. Also give your self some time to rest, your body is never going to build if you dont allow your muscles to heal. Ask one of the staff to help you out, Im sure they could assist you in your problem. Cheers Adam.
  14. Currently I'm in the opposite possition to you, as I have a Mod and am considering a Stock/Mod-Stock. At the moment I have the money to invest in one, so I am seriously considering after going on friends bikes. I would suggest trying both bikes after each other, and getting the feel for both of them and basing your decision on this, as it is personal preference. I Recomend it if you are finding a Stock a bit difficult, Mods are generaly lighter and easier to chuck around and are a lot more 'flicky' so this would benefit your riding. Cheers Adam.
