  1. The slaves are the cylinders where the brake pads clip into, the master cylinder is in the lever. In hydraulic systems the master cylinder is the one that is operated and the slave cylinder is the one that does the operation - in the case of hydraulic brakes a mechanical advantage is built into the system by using different size pistons between the master and slaves :)

Tarty sells brand new slave cylinders for 16 quid a piece (about $30 to you)

Hey thanks for clearing things up! I appreciate it!

  2. Mine have been water bled for years without a problem, if youre worried about the seal wear then just drop a little oil (proper oil not wd40 or such wank like it) onto the pistons. At the end of the day you can get a set of maggie slaves for bugger all. Ive got 6 :D

Maggie slaves??? bugger all? sorry, I'm still new to trials lingo... :$

  3. I am a pro video editor using Final Cut... a wee bit much for you. If "windoze" movie maker (notice emphasis) isn't enough for you... than your not going to get anything better for free, if you don't mind paying a little... than I recommend adobe premiere elements! It is far above and beyond windoze movie maker, it only costs about $60!

  4. I'm going to be getting a new bike here in a while in place of my modified MTB... I know for sure I want to go single speed, but what is the most popular gear ratio??? I'm going to run the freewheel on the front (18t), so basically do I want 12t, or 15t in the back? I'm going to go with one of those snazzy echo rear hubs and then just buy one of the echo splined rear gears...

    Give me your thoughts!!!

  5. Well my shoes are next to junk... they are FAR to flexible! I can hold one of the shoes in my hand and get the toe of the shoe to touch the heel! The rubber is just like a bone that has been in Coca Cola for the past week!!!

What do you mean "feedback feel?"

Yeah, I would tend to go skate type but I absolutely hate the real puffy padded look with laces that go straight across and are wild colors!!!! Ugh!

  6. I'm riding on a mountain bike that I have modified for trials use... and I was sidehopping (sorry, I don't know what the proper term is) off of a log that is about 2 1/2' high, and my freehub broke! I smashed my shin into the log and it brused my bone (ouch)! so now I'm in the process of trying to find a new freehub! Not much luck because it is about a six year old one!

I want to hear some of your stories like this.... don't wait, post them here!
