  1. Cheers RAT i think i will do. You had best get your bike ready for wed. wanna hit the quarry if the sunshine holds up!!!!!
  2. So am i right in thinking the PR is a heavyweight version of the Ti and would take more punishment??
  3. That does look very nice to be fair but i been looking at the monty 221 PR. What does the PR bit stand for?? are they any good and where do i get a Ti version from??
  4. Oh also did i mention the nedd to run a rear disc for comp duties lol the echo lite looks really sweet!!!!!!!!! do they do a rear disc version. And for forks is it best just to use echo lite ones as i asume they will give the best geometry or are there any better ones??? And thankyou all for all your help so far.
  5. I got a pair of the koxx try-all shoes they were worth the money cos they are very supportive,--- no more worrying about hurting your ankles and tones of grip too and not overly expensive considering some people pay 100 quid for a "normal" pair of shoes
  6. How much do the ti's go for generally?? What is the BB height on them cos im not a fan of them stupid high BB bikes that are everywhere at the moment!!
  7. Hi im wondering if anyone can help me with confirming my choice for a new mod frame and forks? My riding style tends to be big rolling bunny hops for my big ups, But im also mainly a natural rider and often favour the big power moves like surges ( prob my favourite way of getting up stuff) and sidehops and generally flicking the bike around, im a smooth rider so i dont need something stupidly over built but it doesnt want to be too light as im 14.5st. Bikes i have previously used have been koxx levelboss 1065 26" guise which was ok but not so easy to hop Koxx 20" bike from bout 2 years ago cant remember which model it was but it had front disc from factory and was not the XTP that was really nice though, Just i been out of the sport for a few years and there are now so many little companies popping up everywhere i just dunno where to start!! Oh and i prefer being on two wheels as oposed to back wheel. if i can shoot through a section on two wheel without ever goin on back wheel i will,..... two wheels equals double grip lol Any help will be much apreciated Thanks
  8. Ah i see jolly good!! Are they still the shizzle?? Im sure i remember paying over 100 quid though for them a few years back.. Why the pice drop?? Any ideas because hopefully the quality is still the same! Ah it ok i have just found what im looking for the white industries tri freewheel thats what i remember and 72 ingagemant points like i remember too Ah the memories of getting my first one lol
  9. Is the eno freewheel the same as the white industries freewheel. Sorry if its a slightly dumb question just i been away from the sport for a few years always used to run the white industries one and it cost over 100 quid but this eno thing seems to be similar?
  10. For stock i always used a michelin comp 24 on the rear, was a very heavy tyre but the grip was fantastic , was very hard wearing and you could run it so soft due to the massively thick side walls, i ran them for about two years for street and natural and it was sure footed in every condition dry or wet, and i never ever punctured it!! For the front i used continental twisters as they were something daft like 300 grams i think but had to run more pressure in them although it was not much of a problem beacause the carcas was so supple.
  11. have to say best place i been is parthcawl, though there was this one place down in cornwall up on the north coast near the sea it was like a kind of deserted military thing maybe, well anyway it was featured in mbuk years ago with the legendary eddie tongue riding it, that place was pretty cool, also skegness is fairly good for riding
  12. how do people do these massive sidehops, i have always done them from both wheels flat on the floor either parallel to wall or from facing it (ie a surge) but i see loads of people doing massive hops and they seem to do them from the back wheel position??? is this the secret to going really big,, As for me i did 41 inch over a bar but not really sure what height onto something prob 3 or 4 inch over bar height or summat like that I recently taken two years out from serious riding, just getting back into it now but i been pretty much living down the gym weight training all that time so cant wait to see if a massive increase in strength has an effect on my riding
  13. er no wont have bike for a week or so yet i got a mod coming. matt from sleaford is starting riding again too thats who i used to ride with before parr knows him. do you guys ever ride in the week? like in the evenings or ought?? me and matt are gonna be going down meg quarry a lot really gonna try hone our natural skills you n parr should come along?
  14. hey your from lincoln??? i always used to ride in lincolon? who do you ride with? who still rides i used to ride with parr, paul, pegler etc
  15. Erm can i put skydive even though you did?? that would be well up there Er but i think the first thing i would do if i realised i was gonna die anyway is try all the really bad things for you health like class a's lol on a serious note though i would go to amsterdam or ibiza so i could die will living it up to the max... lol oh and i have always wanted to build a giant sand castle that you could actually go inside!! If its possible??
  16. Hi im glenn and im new to the forum. Right a bit about me i started riding when i was about 14 or 15 ( im 23 now) and rode seriously till i was about 20 at which point i think i was getting reasonably good always been more into natural riding as opposed to street. anyway i stopped riding due to getting a serious misus and liking cars and beer to much blah blah blah,..... until today i decided to buy a new bike, its not come yet but when it does im gonna get back on it and hopefully not have forgotten to much, hopefully gonna do some comps in the summer, also since i stopped riding i have been a bit of a gym rat for a few years and done lots of weight lifting so am looking forward to seeing how my new strength afects my riding.... feels good to be getting back into it.. been watching all the old vids .. manifesto.. zero tolerence Bi-king etc today lol
  17. always grind your rims if you want increased performance, sure tar works well but if you ride street i always find that people respect it much more and give you less hassle if your not destroying there hearing everytime you use your brakes, just my take on trying to not make joe public hate me for riding my bike near them. always had much more respect also if a dont use my bashguard but thats another issue. But make sure its a light grind else your rim really wont last long it doesnt take much pressure with the grinder to go straight through, is wise to practice on an old rim first for sure!
  18. Front disc is a much better idea as rim brakes can be rubbish in the wet and too snappy for stoppies etc abut just be carefull abour pranging you disc as it could be expensive especially if you tend to prefer sidehops up to the left etc!
