  1. i was 28 1st time i rode trials on a bicycle, i rode moto trials since i was 13, im now 37 and starting over again on bicycle trials hehe. My wife thinks im a nutter and having a mid-life crisis lol. Maybe i am but all i can say is i love riding trials always have always will
  2. Im not sure what psi my tires were on my trials build but as im close to 13 stone i remember i had to run quite high pressure in the back compared to other riders. But thats just cos im a big ass guy lol, on my Kona Dj/trialsish lol bike i run both back and front at about 40ish but thats because moto digger tyres sidewalls are crap they collaps easily
  3. I found doing small manuals on the back wheel then braking and balancing on the back wheel realy helped me nail back wheel hops. And also from a trackstand raise up front end by leaning back pulling up bars brake locked on and trying to keep balanced on the back wheel correcting balance by altering possittion of front end eventualy i found back wheel hops and other stuff on back wheel second nature. Hope this may help some of you it worked for me
  4. Thanks for the replies guys, wow looks like i'll be buying new wheels for trials then lol. Its strange being a noob to new trials/bike parts, but not noob at trials lol.
  5. Hi guys, just wondering if Halo combat wheels, with DMR Moto Digger tyres would be ok for trials. Reason i ask is because im trying to build up a trials bike, and i already have these wheels on my Kona. So if there ok then atleast i dont need to buy new wheels They have Halo Combat hubs on them too.
  6. Thats a nice bike John, id buy it but £200 will take some time to gather hehe. Would be no posting either as i live so close to you, my parents live in Houghton right near Durham. If i ever got the cash i'll let you know bud.
  7. Hi Tristan welcome, nice bike you got there ... Can i ask you how do you get your cable disc brakes to work good? I ask this because, i have Hayes MX4 cable discs with Avid levers, and i cant get them to work good lol. I cant/dont trust the back brake enough to do anything other than small peddal ups lol. Any help from anyone on the forums on how to adjust them would be greatly appreciated thankyou.
  8. E-bay has got some good bikes on there, i look all the time i still need a bike, well frame and forks hehe. Or try google Trials bikes for sale.
  9. Yeah i thought as much, but rigids equal to 100 mil travel you can get, but i like a low front end for trials so it would feel wierd hehe, maybe i just keep looking for that Pashley frame see what i can dig up, anyway thanks for the replys guys .....
  10. Hi guys I'm wanting to get back into trials, my end goal is to build another Pashley 26 mgz Tv series, but as im cash strapped ive not got that project started yet. So i have this idea that maybe i can whack some rigids on my Kona Blast, its already trials spec just has Rockshox Dart 2s 100 mil travel forks, but im not sure how badly that would affect the BB clearence, anyone have any ideas ??
