  1. I currently use rock blues, and they're brilliant pads. I have a light grounded rim and use tar, and they work brilliantly. Lots and lots of life in them as well. They're absolutely appalling in wet conditions though, but generally an all round great pad. Would seriously recommend them
  2. Pallets are my favourite thing to ride cuz you can make what you want! Looks like you've got a nice little set up there. Wish we had spools in Swindon, they look like right good fun.
  3. My BMX doesn't have brakes so it's twice as hard for me.
  4. Me and a few others from Swindon. It stopped raining at about 1, so we managed to get a few good hours out of it.
  5. I think us Swindon laddys are getting there at about 10:30. So i guess we'll see you lot later in the day
  6. Nope, Lawrence. Anyway, looking forward to Monday, should be a good ride
  7. after waiting for near on 3 weeks, mine finally arrived today! So far it's quality, missions seem a bit too easy though....
  8. QUOTE (Joey B @ May 19 2008, 10:20 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Did a team building week with him at BMW. Still haven't had the chance to ride though. Well nows your chance!
  9. QUOTE (Joey B @ May 19 2008, 10:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Is only of you lawrence yer???? Yeah Lawrence is coming down. You know him?
  10. When you get told to move on. That ones always a killer.
  11. Currently I ride an 06 zoo! python, which is an absolute beast of a bike. I always enjoy watching stock videos, and only a certain few mod(depending on the mod riders style). So i figured, i may as well switch stock. 1.Would this be too difficult, as the frame would be too big as to what I'm used to? 2.Should i get a mod-stock or just stock? 3.Anyone got any recommendations for decent bikes? Thanks. Nathan
  12. I use Echo rubber grips, and they're perfect...on cold days. When it's absolutely baking, foam grips are the way to go. Cable tie them to your bars so they don't slide and you wont have a problem. Alternatively, you could just wear gloves rather than changing grips, but that's what I've found works. You could pick up a cheap pair of each off tarty for next to nothing.
  13. I use water and it's by far better/cheaper/easier than using Magura Blood. When i first got my brake it was already bled with blood. After a while, i decided to re-bleed it using water, and it felt so much better. It's a lot more responsive, as i found the blood to be a bit spongy. The only down side, as already mentioned, is the fact that it freezes during the winter. I've never tried bleeding with anti-freeze, but it sounds like too much hassle to be honest. I just used a hairdryer if it's frozen. It's a bit more effort but it saves time and money bleeding with anti-freeze(and you don't have to bleed your brake according to the weather). Basically, what I'm saying is, stick with water.
  14. Pretty much the title What's your favourite video of all time? Old or new I'll start. Mine has gotta be the James Barton Video on Hydroxx.(Even though i can't stand the music) Youtube Video -> ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">
  15. Lets just say it's a personal favorite then.
  16. Your feet are huge!!!! Or just really small....
  17. I know!! I muted it, didn't want it to spoil the riding.
  18. Possibly the best video i have ever seen. So much power and control. Quality style as well. Enjoy
  19. How big was it? Looks pretty impressive i you ask me.
  20. Does anyone out there use trials shoes? I've been having a look on tarty and i might be tempted to get a pair for the summer. Does anyone know if they last long? If i was to get a pair I'd want them to last a while as they cost so much money! I mean, at the moment I just use a pair of old battered trainers and they do the job fine, just wanna know if trials shoes are worth it. Cheers Nathan
  21. Same here. Next time you need new parts, compare the weight of the components that you're going to buy with your existing parts to see if you're doing yourself any favors weight-wise. You'd only lose a tiny bit of weight each time, but it would all add up.
  22. At the moment I'm running a magura on the front, and I've got no complaints, except for the fact it slips every now and again. I'm thinking about getting a new front wheel (my current one is battered) and wondering whether to invest in a disc hub. They're about £15 more expensive than a regular hub, and I'm just thinking whether it's worth the hassle. Most of the people I ride with own discs, and they seem to rave about them, but i don't think they're that much better. Just want to know the general opinion really, and see if it's worth it. Cheers Nathan
  23. I use maxxis high rollers. They've got a lot of life in them and they're really grippy. Reasonably cheap too.
