Right, having a bit of trouble with my v!z chain tensioner. I have it set up exactly how i want it, then after a few pedal strokes it releases itself and the chain becomes loose. I keep adjusting it back to how i want it, and it keeps moving back. I've taken it off an put it back on, set it up a fair few times, and the same thing happens again. Any ideas as to what's going on/how to solve it? cheers Nathan

I think it was a manufactures fault, because as you've said, you never hear about GU's snapping. Bit of a peculiar place to snap as well considering the usuals.

There are easier ways of getting things done than resulting to violence. It's easy to say that you'd smack him round the face and take it back, when no-one on here has ever seen you/knows what your like, so we have no evidence that you would. Trying to act big over the internet means nothing, so you can insult me all you like because I'm never going to see you. Generally, it's the people that say they'd hit someone if they were in that situation, that wouldn't do anything. As a last resort, I would say violence is an option.

If you hit him and take the bike, the problem wont disappear, the situation will worsen. Once you've hit him, you've now made yourself a target to him and his mates. I'm sure if he took the bike from your friend, the thief isn't afraid of him, meaning that he's not going to be afraid to get it back. I know you've already said that you've contacted the police and they've done nothing, so why don't you follow it up? It's your friends bike that's gone missing, so why are you having to do the work. And to be honest, how is posting on a forum helping get the bike back? You need to contact the police and get it sorted out through there, else your asking for trouble.

I genuinely, thoroughly enjoyed that.
