  1. I'm there, and if I'm driving will bring 2 others. Will probably be 4 or 5 guys from Worcestershire up for it
  2. Agreed. This guy was one of the most stylish riders I have ever. I have a few vids but im on 56k so can't really upload sorry.
  3. 20:16 is a bit hard and will probably hold back your static gapping distance. 20:17 is great though, a good all round gear ratio. I'm really not a fan of spinny gears, they are rubbish for pedal ups and gaps and it feels like there is just no force for static moves.
  4. Don't think we wanna ride Bristol tomorrow so will probably go try some extreme natural instead
  5. Psyche Seriously, if I want product information I can go on Tartybikes or Echo/Adamant websites. This topic is completely lacking any information of any worth at all. How you can write a 'review' after less than a months use and expect to write anything of worth is beyond me. Agreed
  6. This was exactly the point I was trying to make. Onza guy said you can't make a bike that pleases everyone, but when it comes to 24" trials bikes most people have no idea what they are like. The current trend of 24" street trials bikes are over rated in my opinion. I tried to have mine a bit longer to make it good to mix up riding and have fun on. If I was having a 24" just for trials though I would make it much longer to compensate for some of the disadvantages small wheels have. I would love to try something around 1080+ with a decent BB rise and I'm sure others would when they realised how sweet it would ride
  7. And people are saying this is a bike designed for 'pure' trials? My Leeson is longer than that and it is far from a pure trials frame. Just because it is aluminium and looks like other frames doesn't mean it has trials geo
  8. They're the strongest forks I've used. They are a bit flexy and they do seem to creak strangely. But considering the weight they can take a lot, mine lasted just over 6 months before snapping on the steerer. Not sure if the Hi-Fi's have a thicker steerer or are any stronger, supposed to be stiffer though.
  9. Whaaaaat How can you have an adventure sports show indoors?!!? :) It completely defeats the object. And if the course isn't public access you can forget the trials. Ot Pi and Caesar demo... (Y)
  10. lol, 'tis some quality gurnage :D
  11. Anybody fancy Brum tomorrow? Me, Fatmike, maybe Steve-A and a few guys from Bromsgrove should be going up. Weather looks good :ermm:. Meet at the gap behind new street at 11ish.
  12. Haven't had so much fun in the rain for a long time, great day (Y)
  13. Agreed. Although I would recommend Echos over Pashleys, my Urbans have lasted a lot longer. And they have taken a lot of harsh taps and hooks. Definately go for U6 forks (Y)
  14. I can't get it to play for some reason, do you need a codec to play it?
  15. Cheers Andy. The editing was infact done by me, I will take that as a compliment :P Thanks for all the comments again (Y)
  16. Best game ever B) Thanks for the kind words. The song is This Apparatus Must be Unearthed by The Mars Volta. I really didn't expect many people to like the song. They are one of my favourite bands though and I wanted to use something different to the norm. As for the editing, it was my first vid but I did spend a long time making sure it felt right. I am a bit of a perfectionist so spent a lot of time just trying lots of different shots and using what went best. I had tonnes of footage which gave me the freedom to do this. I think it makes it far easier if you have as much footage as possible, and then just patience to get it right! Some of the synchronising is due to the time spent on it but some bits I think are just luck! Thanks Jonny <_<. I'm glad you thought the editing was good, I was expecting a much more mixed response. Hopefully next one will be a bit sleeker :S Lol my hooks are harsh :P. Tonnes of speed and just smash into the wall :ermm: Good camera work is mostly down to Steve A and Fatmike, so a BIG thanks to them and anyone else who filmed for me :(
  17. Wow I didn't expect reactions like that! :D Thanks for all the comments guys. And yes its safe to say I did shit myself when that gate opened :( I've been riding for about 5 years (old skool) :P
  18. Thanks Tomm. Thats pretty much it, although im not sure if the elastomer goes all the way up the headtubes, think it might just be at the ends. I'm afraid the paint is a one off :P". Hope you like yours when you get it. Yes you will (Y). I will take it apart and take some pics soon if I get time.
  19. The bike hooks really nice. I was worried it might flex too much as I rely on lots of speed and a big bunnyhook but it just springs straight up, and the bike flicks through really easy. Its hard to say whether the headtube helps as the bike is so different to my old one but I certainly don't think it hinders riding. Yeah I tried to get the bike as trialsy as Clive could make it. For the type of riding I do on street I think its perfect. After a few days riding I can do as big moves as I could on my Echo, 8 foot gap, 45" sidehop, ~5 foot hooks. The bike is a lot more fun to ride though and I seem to be able to navigate obstacles with a lot more control and style. Its even made me ride smooth! (well... smoother :P) Yeah Clive just doesn't like gussets, he's had limited sucess with them in the past. It's different at least :P Hey Kenny It just uses a standard headset. Inside the short outer headtube is a standard, slightly longer headtube which the headset fits as normal. Like I said above its hard to say whether or not it helps riding. I'm still getting used to it so need to experiment with how hard you can hit it :D". Thats what I was worried about when I first saw it, but its surprisingly stiff. Cheers. I think all Leesons are the same? Its around 73/74 degrees Indeed, your frame certainly is different. I'm looking forward to seeing the mod hes making. Next time we ride together you'll have to have a go :P Thanks for all the comments guys, the colour really is lush B)
  20. Here is my new Leeson 609 with the new Bump headtube. Basically it is 2 headtubes joined together with stiff elastomers. Its designed to have a minimal effect on how the frame rides, but just cushion heavy front end impacts. So hopefully the frame should stand up to hooks and bumps better than a standard frame (hence the name). It costs £50 extra to have it if you want it. I'm currently giving it some abuse to see how it holds up. The frame itself rides like a dream and is great fun. 1040 wheelbase, +30 BB, awesome colour as well (Y). The frame should be in next months Hiphop I think. What do you think of it?
  21. Looked pretty nice when I saw it at Clives, hope it lasts well. Mines way more interesting though :P (pics soon)
  22. Bikedock sell 2.5" high rollers :shifty:
