hmm I don't really wanna grind till i get a new rim as i said before though cus i ride nearly everyday so my rim wont last as long plus none of us lot ride the rain anyway so what about green rock pads?

At the moment i got onza reds so I'm sure koxx brown will be an improvement till i get a grind

yeah but they aren't recommended for freshly ground rims plus my dads paying and the koxx cost more so i'll take all i can from him lol

If i get koxx bloxx browns would they work ok on a smooth rim till i can get a grinder?

That's exactly the reason I want to wait till I get a new one because I've never done a grind before.

I'm not too bothered about the rain at the moment but now I'm getting better and doing things higher I seriously need my brake to stop slipping but I don't want to grind until I get a new rim.

Yeah only thing is i really don't want to grind my rim if i can get my brake to work just as well.

Would they be fine with a smooth rim?

While I'm on the braking topic I'm ordering some brakes in the next hour or so but now I don't know which ones to go for. It's either Plazmatic CRM, Rock Pads (Green) or Zoo pads from TartyBikes. Any suggestions?

I want to start doing bigger static and rolling gaps but I find that when I lower the front end ready to kick (from static) I concentrate too much on what I'm doing with the brake lever. Is it best to have the brake lever so it almost touches the bars or so it hardly pulls in? At the moment I have it coming about half way in but it's a bit difficult. I don't know if this is due to the fact that I don't gap very often or lever position. Please advise me on this one.

After that one I got up to the seat part and stayed on rear then upto to the top that looked sweet as. I can balance pretty well on rear it's just I don't like those benches cus of the bit sticking out and i hate doing highish drop-off's. I know that's low to most of you but ah well lol. Thanks for comments though

Well i got it off then tried it and it still slipped abit so i put some tar on and it slipped a slight bit so i think once i get the tar spread it will stop. Thanks alot for everyones help maybe now ill get up 9 bricks to rear without slipping off. Just in everyones opinion my dad is buying me some new hs33 pads and i got £20 to spend on them inc delivery, what do you all think is best? I'm going to grind my rim soon aswell, i was going for Koxx Browns. Anything better for that price?

I'm sure this has already been asked but anyway... I've set my brakes perfectly and have put plenty of tar on my rim but no matter how hard I hold the lever my brake slips. It's not slipping loads but when I pedal hop if I'm right on the edge of a wall I just slip backwards! It also does this when I do rear wheel hops, does anyone have any tips to prevent it from doing this?
