  1. Thx -E Makes sense.... -E Makes sense.... -E Never thought about the clearance issue Hmmm interesting point. Thx, -E Now I've got the whole picture; thanks everyone ) -E
  2. It is really nice to to discover so many of you at around my age....although I don't really care what anyone thinks about riding a Mod at 37. It sometimes felt a bit "non-conformist" in a bad way, however you guys are the "remedy" ;-) -E
  3. Is there a dramatic difference or any difference at all regarding torque & weight balance between an 24T F - 18T R and 18T F - 12T R ? I have a Monty 219 Magura /w White Industries ENO 18T on the rear and the original one piece Crank/24T Sprocket on front. I'll be more than happy if you shared your knowledge/theories with me ) Thanks, -E
  4. I'm impressed! I'm not riding at that level yet...and I'm riding a Mod, to think that you were riding Trials on a pure XC bikes is amazing (it is so much harder). Way to go bro! -E
  5. Way to go buddy, I'm 37 now and I thought I was old...you beat me hand down... I really appreciate your ambition & persistence. You guys rock, Way to go, -Eran 37 not very far....however, I believe we should be looked at as role models within the Trials scene (for most of us it is more demanding physically, mentally, and it is much harder to find the time compared to a let's say 16 YO rider). -Eran
  6. 37 & still rockin' ; so should you... I've discovered Trials in 2008 rode for ~6 months (Stock) and then quit for ~1 year. I only came back about a month ago (Mod). I really can't stress enough the importance of starting off using a Mod bikes, the difference is amazing. After one month only, I am already at a few levels above what I used to be. If you just coming back, I really urge you to start off using a mod bikes, it will make life much easier for you... Good luck, -Eran
  7. As far as height is concerned, you can definitely make the move to stock... But remember one thing: it will be harder to manipulate the bike on a stock. I did the opposite move Stock->Mod. -Eran
  8. Thanks for tip Josh, I'll give it a try... -Eran
  9. I can hop pretty well by positioning the bikes on high object and also by using an Endo. The problem is, I can't quite make it by using a pedal kick... Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, -Eran
  10. 1. I agree; actually as a general note, it is by all means (in my opinion anyway) the best instructional website out there. (on the other hand there are not that many ) ) 2. I do ride (as often as I can) with my "trial buddies" and they are way more experienced than I am, it certainly helps because they often give you that one important tip because they see what you can't see because of their experience and because you can't really ride your bike and look at yourself riding at the same time. 3. I am currently practicing 2 methods: one: is trying to hop in small gaps. two: is trying to perform a very large "virtual gap" from a stand still (track stand). Thanks for the tips, -Eran 1. I am currently practicing 2 methods: one: is trying to hop in small gaps. two: is trying to perform a very large "virtual gap" from a stand still (track stand). 2. I do get along with one large "virtual gap" training method, however I do a problem with the small hops (gaps). 3. No problems getting on the rear wheel. Thanks for the tips, -Eran
  11. Any advice for pedal kicks? So far I've been using Trashzen's tips, Mastering The Art Of Trials and Trials On Line. Any other advice/web site you would like to share? Your help would be greatly appreciated, -Eran
  12. Thanks for the advice everyone ) Apparently it has been a combination of working on that muscle heavily BUT also sleeping with ceiling fan, once I switched to air-condition, bang! the pain disappeared just like that! Thanks again, -Eran
  13. How do you guys treat the pain? do you stop riding for a while? (let's say a few days) or do you continue? -E
  14. Has anyone suffered from mid back muscles pains while mastering rear wheel hops? or is it just me? -E
  15. Thanks I find them incredibly special as well ) No eccentric hub just a 20T->22T ratio that allows having no chain tensioner at all. Cheers, -E

  17. Actaully I am using an Avid FR-5 (a very basic lever). and by the way that was one of the problems it's orignally setup very and I mean very far away from the handlebars, I've also set the "barrel" "thing" on the lever, so it would stop more at the begining of the pulll rather than later.... 18. No I don't think so (see below): A little bit of tuning and then some more tuning and it seems like it's already much better. Thanks, -E Yes, in fact that was one of the problems; the other one was the simple fact that the lever it self was too far away from the handlebars, I've fixed that as well and voila! Already much better. however, I've been told it can take up to a few dozens of kilometers for the system to "get the grip". Thanks, -E Actually that sound is music to my ears; I beleive that it's our sonic TradeMark as Trials riders ) and that is why I wouldn't replace the rear brake to disc. However I will probably stay with a front BB7; I have managed to fix the problem... and it is indeed much better as a front brake. -E Actaully I am using an Avid FR-5 (a very basic lever). and by the way that was one of the problems it's orignally setup very and I mean very far away from the handlebars, I've also set the "barrel" "thing" on the lever, so it would stop more at the begining of the pulll rather than later.... 19. I'll already did that.....but only once, may some more I simply have to repeat a few more times? Thanks, -Eran
  20. In fact they are almost brand new: less than 1 months maybe that's the problem? (they don't have the grip yet). I find it hard to beleive it's dirt because I do not do natural and they are almost brand new. Thanks, -Eran Actually I have set the pads using the adjustment dials (counter clockwise if I am not mistaking). but they still feel a bit weak and mushy. Any advice? -Eran
  21. I had Magura HS33 installed but they didn't feel right so I switched to Avid BB7 Disc Brake - Mechanical 185-203mm '07. The Avid feel much "mushier" so now I am seriously considering changing back to the "Maggies". I would sure like to hear your comments guys. Thanks, -Eran
  22. Has any one attended this year's Koxx Trials camp? I have a friend (named Tom) who attended this year (about ~2 months ago), I think his instructor name was "Serge". Feedbacks anyone? -Eran
  23. There are a few sites. however you do have a point; most of them are "old school" indeed. -Eran You are right: that site is nice indeed. I have already been using some of the help it provides. The videos examples are good and helpful. -Eran
  24. I truly believe that Trashzen is the still holding number one for being the best BikeTrial instructional web site out there! Julien you rock! -Eran
  25. The geometry is perfect in my opinion; it really resembles the Echo Control: L: 1072mm C: 379mm BB: 20mm -Eran
