  1. Joe's a big Michael Jackson fan.
  2. sorry if this has upset u, though i have some valid points. it wasn't all negative criticism, your design has clarity and purpose but the flash bit looks whack. nothing personal honestly its just things like the game on http://www.clockworxdesign.com/flash.html is just a blatant rip and looks cheap. why do that?? surely you're better than that? never mind the ufo site... JMack was on the money... piss take, obviously.
  3. You're up early/late!... you don't need coffee! They say cheap coffee is made up of the sweepings from the coffee factory floor, did you used the "sweepings" from this? http://www.clockworxdesign.com/flash.html why the flash car game? Was this monstrosity your work? If so I hope you didn't waste too many lunch breaks developing this! i feel a caffeine induced migraine approaching. http://www.icanphotography.co.uk/ etc.... have you produced any sites without the coffee theme?
  4. I like coffee beans, they say "tasty, aromatic, workaholic" The coffee cup makes me drool. ....but too much coffee is bad. The static images look wonderful, clean and fresh The flash component is caffeine O.D. The proximity detection on the individual beans is clunky, most probably because of the individual images are numerous and 10k each. The action scripting looks typical of a flash experiment found on flashkit, perhaps increasing the proximity variable would shift the beans quicker so it wouldn't take 5 minutes to reveal the caption but why bother? The caption might as well read "anti-climax". With flash novelties you have to ask one question... "Why?" Is this flash design based on a bit of script you've had knocking around and thought you'd use it for something clever? You thought maybe you'd slip it in to liven up the page? The site has plenty of amazing images and beautiful clean design principles. Again... "Why?" why the flash gimick? I know "Why?" It's called "Flashterbation".... so stop playing with it! Loose the flash, the site is better off without it.... Are the coffee beans flavour of the month? What's next month? Oranges? Limes? Autumn leaves? ..... you've obviously got carried away on a caffiene rush.
  5. try Final Cut Pro (mac) or Sony Vegas PC
  6. who took these pics? Pretty awesome!
  7. `Nice finish... http://www.onza.com/v2/products/pro-series/pro.html
  8. ohh dear, it looks like they "thought" this one up 20 years ago by sitting on the bog and staring at the poster in the office toilet whilst taking a dump. ... found this ......... see the strap line? NOT good. A prize for the guy who finds the "effect" one
  9. i heard he's seeing Rachel Atherton
  10. I found them when i was looking for "Onza Porn" on Google.... seriously though.... I blagged a backstage pass off a male dancer with a curly quiff, (see pic) nicked a rockNroll Arena T-Shirt off Andrei Burton when he was on the job (again) and shimmied up the quarter pipe like a urban ninja. No one took any notice so I took a load of pics! I was eventually booted out by Scott the "sex machine" cos i didnt give him my number. Naughty eh?
  11. you need to ask Andrei Burton ALL about her!!
  12. Sorry if you thought this was aimed at you...it wasn't. Scott is a dedicated rider... and very very good. That would probably explain why his site isn't so hot (and why he isn't fat). I agree with your constructive criticism, its good free advice. ..btw I promise you I am NOT being sarcastic! so.... peace? please? ....anyway all that aside, (and apologies for those who dont want have to read all the above) have you seen this Scott? its on the ONZA site ...u may need to refresh the front page a few times before u c it. the onza team section has been updated too, u got pics!
  13. Sometimes a company that hasn't neither the time or budget (remember the recession?) can put out an instant 10/10 website. Often these websites are built up by the company or by mates.... usually for a bike and a pint. Remember the evolution ONZA has gone through? (see: http://www.onza.com/ ) 6 months ago their site was (quite simply) shite.... because the combination of time, budget, skills weren't available. After a few attempts, some valid constructive criticism from this forum (and some amusing raw rude comments too), its settled into a nice looking site. In my opinion, it does need a bit more content here and there, but there is a lot more pride and purpose to it and defiantly stands up as professional without losing the fun element. . . Actually I've just noticed they've updated it again. As much as some people/designers/developers think that websites need to be perfect, 'flash less', even corporate, (I'm not pointing an evil finger at anyone!!!) lets remember the point of these websites.... riding is fun, cool and we don't wear a shirt and tie... unless we are up for criminal damage! .... and yes to increase revenue. As for my humble opinion on cleanbikes.... If its worth chucking 2-3 grand at then maybe you get something shit hot (BIG maybe), or you could employ a spotty student who lives with his mum.... sound familiar?? .....maybe you'd get a return in a couple of years.... maybe not. Or if its not worth gambling thousands then get in touch with your mate's mate's sister's half brother in law from down the road and he can do it for bike parts and a pub lunch... he'll update it (eventually) too.... ...especially if he fancies your sister. You can work it that way and when you need to take the next step, (ask the guys who have done the same thing at ONZA) you upgrade.... I'm sure they worked out a good deal there. Feel free to tell me if I'm wrong, it's not black and white..... spending and the business growing, it's guaranteeing, with small steps, your family do not get their home repossessed because of short sighted expenditure. Websites do work, but successful business takes careful planning, budgeting and consideration. The site's ok , but needs to (and will) evolve in relation to the company's growth & needs. 6/10 There's a term for whats happening at sandmbikes... its called "FLASHTURBATION' BRAVO .... WISDOM WINS AT LAST!
  14. its not meant to be a professionally built site so good on you scott. obviousy youre too busy riding not sat getting fat and boring at the computer perhaps you can get some of it up on the onza site... looks a bit barren at the mo. http://www.onza.com/v2/team/Scott%20Wilson/scott.html
