  1. It was a very good video - i really liked it - why have you pulled it? It was one of the best i saw for this competition!
  2. Me and a couple others ride the Richmond area at least twice a week, which isn't too far from yourself! Aswell as travelling to all Tyketrial / British rounds if you ever need a lift! Cheers, Paul
  3. Great pics Ross - gutted we didn't make it up! We will be up across the border for the British round!
  4. Surely not "streety or triallsy" is a good thing....means you can ride both comfortably without messing on with changing parts or whatever around? In-fact, just what Ross said.
  5. Me and two others may possibly make the journey up from Yorkshire! Is it possible to join the club on the day too?
  6. Street trials is now growing in moto-trials. Julien Dupont say vs Toni Bou debate. Both hugely talented. At the end of the day unless your making a career out of it, its what you enjoy the most. Some riders i see who can hop up 1000 crates high struggle on a couple of rocks because they wobble or aren't flat. And the same for some comp riders. Set-up is different too i think. I'm just old enough to know if i damage someones wall or scratch something town centre, I'm too old and unfit to be doing a runner! Gone are the days when i was 15 and full of energy :$
  7. Ah, if i had seen this about 20minutes ago i would of been in! Ordered from TBikes now. From 2 finger do you see much of a difference?
  8. Seconded there Kevin, wonderful trial - great mixture of sections, nice idea of the entry fee to first time riders - everyone who i spoke to had a good time! Credit to everyone who helped set that up, and run the day! Already looking forward to the next round in Scotland!
  9. I still think its good - the more companies getting involved in trials the better - surely? I know claims come out that maybe are a bit silly - and watching some of the huge stuff from Damon - i can't see this frame being his choice - but for comp riding or such it may help! I would assume more companies bringing frames and kit out would help the cost side of things being driven down. I love the design, big interest as to see how it fares! Good Luck!
  10. Hi Pete, Not ridden any of the Scottish club rounds before - but i would assume they run like Tyketrial etc so here is my two penneth. Definatley enter for one - i wouldn't know on ages of guys up in the Scotland club rounds, but at the British round at Fort William there was all varieties, and even the dads of the kids riding are all friendly and there to help and support. Novice is a good entry point if you are competent on a bike, but get there early and walk a few, and change up / down before the trial starts if need be. Also Tyke allow you to ride 3 sections to see how you feel - if by the third you still find it too hard, or too easy, go back to control and change. Hope this helps a little! Paul
  11. I know what you are saying, it is a bit too much, but it has grown on me. The chain and tyre will be shortly changed to full black
  12. Do you have a postcode? I am tempted if it is close - i am riding the Tyketrial the day after so i would cry if i broke anything however....hehehe
  13. Sorry - i should of been a bit clearer, yes, i was just listing the two-day events, but i am more confused as to how these ones work, do you need to be there both days etc? Cheers
  14. Just wondering how these work, currently i see only 3 : 8 & 9th June (2-day event) Nevis Range, Fort William, Scotland British Trials Cup, R3 13th & 14th July (2-day event) Essex Trials & Jump Centre British Trials Cup, R4 10th & 11th August (2-day event) Newcastle City Centre British Trials Cup, R5 out of the 7 rounds. Is this correct? I did read in another post there was to be 4No 2 day rounds. Do you need to ride both days? Is there a trial one day, and another the second? Or just half and half? How many out of the 7 do you need to compete in to be eligible to compete for the end of season awards? Is there end of season awards or is it just per trial? Any help would be much appreciated Paul
  15. Ha yes, it does need shortening, its not a simple chain however, the links are alien to me, so rather than get mad, i just ride, it currently works well so until she snaps or i bend the mech hanger i shall just keep it like that . Was good meeting you too Ross - no problem at all!

  18. Hi all, just joined the forum, on a bad note aswell as it happens! Ive had my ashton justice stolen from the north yorkshire area late sunday night (skeeby) Broke into a locked shed, and took mine and a friends bike. Even used his shovel to hack the lock.... Ahh well! Glad to be here And well here is a spec/pic below if anyone may see it crop up! (not to everyones taste i know) Front Black Atomlab rim, laced to a front Red Hope Bulb Hub. Rear Koxx Rim, Red, laced to a Rear Hope XC Hub (Red) Rear Red Michelin Tyre, with Kenda DH inner tube. Front Halo Twin rail Pink tyre, Universal inner tube. Truvativ Hussefelt cranks, machined bash down(made smaller) Raceface ISIS Freeride/DH BB Easton EA50 Stem Pink Gusset 'Slim Jim' Pedals Rear Race Mech (couple up from the 'sora' price bracket) Locked into one gear (no gripshift etc) Front Magura Louise Disc Brake, Rear Blue mag HS33 (blue, but caliper painted black) Steve Peat Bars i believe, XC make, cant quite remember!
