i want a dual disc!

i thoguth i would hit the disc alot with it on the front but havent really i was thinking it would be the same for the rear but needed the advice thanks guys

ok so ive had an urge to move to DD i like the modulation and feel of the mono trial disc brake and would love to give it a go on the rear but before i make a move i have few questions - i am right footed and side hop to the left - this obvsioulsy means that when slip bail fall etc i am going to smash bend the rear disc , i run a front disc and in the 4 years i have run it ive hit it twice once falling off a crate into a crate on the disc (awkard fall) then secondly front wheel went through a drain landed on disc xD anyway im looking for advice from DD riders - what side do you ride - have you hit your (rear) disc - isit hard or is very simple to hit it from a side hope slip - have you just damaged the disc or the caliper from a side hope bail i would prefer to have any info from someone who either rides or has riden a DD not someone who thinks they know it all and hasnt riden one we all have our views also if there is any local south waleanes that can let me have a feel of a DD that be much appreached thanks Dez

your snail clams are fine either way i would just like to point out from your description and picture of the left side of the bike are you side hoping to the left side with your left foot forward ? if so id side hope left foot forward and go to the right as you can catch your pedal on the way the other way also makes it more awakrd IMO to side hop up ! just a little riding tequnice i use if on the other hand if you do side hope that way ignore this just somthing i took into account from the pictures and description the brake - i have the same problem i went brave removed my pads pulled the brake in and wedged a sheet of metal between the pistons then cleaned the piston with some bog roll then prized the pistons back out with the metal sheet i left in( make sure its thick enough not to make the pistons pop out but thin enough to get enough of the piston out enough to clean) this made a little difference i just had to space them out better with washers so she sits true and locks stright!

usual does help to post befre you buy well ive run my try all rear tyre for 3 years now ( she is slowly starting to come down now) i dont ride much so its why ive had it for so long but ive looked after it( no skidding) and its looked after me ill be honest i have a kenda tube in the rear outta a halfords kids 20" bike it has 2 patches on it when i found it and ive had that for the 3 years it been on ha! i only noticed this the other day as i bought a new rear wheel and i remeber that tube from back then ha! imo the tyre is bomb proof ive hit gaps etc and be like OHHHH DEAR PINCH but shes kept going strong and ive run about 18 Psi and lower only problem i can find is its dead weight i find theres no spring so ive just ordered a monty so see if there is difference in riding ablities for example easier side hopes gapping i dont know if im right but thats how im thinking about it.

just stick with a name you know or anything on tarty pads arnt the most expensive thing you can put on your bike ill be honest i has rockman pads and they are CLASS (with a grind) but i managed to get TNN pads and i wouldnt go for anything else now

ive not tried lube and yes i got it PARTICALLY on and by the monring it pushed it off must be becuase it wasnt all the way on so i shall lube her up and get back to yalll thanks guys

im a driver in the RAF and when i went to see my PTIS about it they just thought it was motor trials and didnt belive me that you could do trials on a moutain bike LOL

do it yourself mate its not that hard. Dont get me wrong tartys grind service is brill! i find its just convenient that tarty have that service when you buy a new wheel but IMO the hassle to strip down ur wheel and send it and get a booking is just not worth it you bound to know someone with a grinder

ok so to pimp my bike i bought the echo TR cylinders decied to fit my TNN pads and for some reason they wont fit on the nipple thing i manged to push it on but in the monring they were off! kinda just squeased off and sitting against the rim which sucks as ive just had the brake done and also i really wanna use my TNN pads as there ACE! any help? or is this new news to everyone

ive just ordered the trialtech pedals and id sugest to go for thoses mate i spent time studing the best pedal for price with materials used and the lightness and IMO the trialtechs were the best overall

im riding this sunday with 2 mates including sean if your free im up for mumbles and what ever

hello people i have recentaly moved to swindon / wiltshire / wotten basset and i have no one to ride with i got a 20" python and a bmx which i like to potch on all i wanna know is are there any riders in the area, wheres best to ride and not too and are there any good skate parks for my bmx Ta Dez.

hay when i tighten up my profile to the frame the wheel gets tight and does not free whel easy it sounds like somthing is rubbing/ grinding inside i can not pull off the casstte to look inside i tried a tip from tarty and taped the axel out from the other side not its not releasing the whole castte itself any ideals help bits - i cross threded the axel :$ all be fixed - have pulled our th axel thanks Dez

hay guys long time since i been on here but ive still be riding the echo beast me and the tension seekerz (whats left fo us) have been trying to get some footage in our busy day working lives but anywaz i got time off today to go ride the dmr beast anywaz as i got at skate extreme ashtons 4x4 showed up same time so yeah got in and i noticed a few other riders and oh my god chris smith absoulty huge stuff and ashton was riping out a few good 360s and huge tyre taps so yeah was a good ride just thoguth id say outaa the 4 hours i spent there i have 1 second off footage i mean it 1 second
