Everybody has there own opinion. Like for me. I'm always landing on the bask really hard and taking chunks out of walls. So i keep mine on. and my bash ring is not detachable atm. But i will keep mine on for protection thats all.

I personally suggest get the vee mounts for magura. Then y the time you get a new frame you have already got the brakes. I have a 08 t-bird and its just fine.
