if you wish to heel-toe, heel-toe!

if you wish to drive fast, drive fast!

just do it on a private road or track and don't put passengers at risk!

if you endanger no life but your own then you do as you please, as everyone does in life!

even those zimmer pushing flat cap wearing t-f moaning old men that are old before there time break the rules sometimes, believe it or not!

be safe boys and girls! (Y)

LOL, ;) , just kidding, everyone has to start somewhere, nothing wrong with alloys and suspension!
exhausts, induction kits, neons and graphics is the kev style shit and pointless imo, just keep alloys and scrap the tin can and filter off and avoid being labelled as a max flower neon pimp daddy boy racer!

just drive safe and enjoy life, thats all that matters after all! :D
  3. had mine a bout 4 years, all this shite about you'll hate it when your 40 jeez you might not even see 30 so live for today and do things you wanna do! some people on this forum are 16 going on 60! :turned:

  4. Just a little idea, why change the wheels? Whats wrong with those ones???

It's a fantastic car as it is, and is designed to use those wheels so will undoubtably not be as good with different sized wheels. Even if you got the same sizes what's the point in changing them for something that looks different? I just see it as a waste of money.

If you want to do it then fairplay but I can't see it looking any better, it's great as it is and theres no point kevving a lovely car like that. What wheels are you intending to put on? If it looks fantastic and doesnt loose you any money I'll retract all of the above.

    James

yeah no worries, i agree, the fact is the current tyres(bridgestone potenza) are shite and cause snap oversteer and are the main gripe of every type r driver, i got offerred a set of 18's with pirelli pzero nero tyres that will have almost the same rolling radius as these and are lighter than the standard ones but for cheaper than a new set of tyres for the 17's so i thought what the hell! so the originals will be for track and 18's for road! i confused myself explainig that! besides wheels and suspension aren't kevvie, its when you cross the line to bodykits and neons you spoil it!

    cheers

  5. ill go along with that phill....

his initial bhp figures and performance stats do seema  little OTT

what i dont agree with though, is your calculation for transmission losses....

did you say take away 10% then add 10bhp to that? or something along those lines....

theres so much more to it than that!!!!

it all depends on the box, transfer gears, wheel size....

my current mini gearbox looses over 26bhp from the crank to the wheels! yet a well built standard box can loose as little as 15bhp, throw in a straight cut gear set and a set of straight cut drop gears and that figure could come down to 10bhp....

thers no way of telling how much a box will loose....

ive heard that there have been mini boxes built with such care and attention to detail that as little as 5-7 bhp as been lost....

general equations dont really work in the auto world do they....

that said, i followed a type R home tonight, and it truely is a LOVELY car

on a totally seperate note though.... pete wright now lives about 30mins from me  i see him regularly! madness

i can't really talk from experience just what i've been told by a good friend who recently dyno'd my car and a bit of reseach. this sum has apparently been researched by dyno operators in conjunction with bosch and vw for many years now.

the guide is to deduct 10% of the flywheel figure plus another 10 bhp for FWD and 12% plus 10 bhp for RWD. If you are starting from a wheel bhp figure then you have to apply those equations in reverse - add 10 bhp then divide by 0.9 for FWD or 0.88 for RWD to get back to a flywheel figure.

it worked on mine and two other type r's, clio 182,seat leon cupra and ford focus rs that attended the dyno day and was correct within 1-2 bhp each time.

  6. there seems to be some misunderstanding, i never set out to compare my type r with his car and i have not gone on about how good a type r is blah blah, i don't come on here bragging about my car like some persons on here, not mentioning names..

i simply pointed out the bhp figures and 0-60 top speed figures were wildly over estimated in his first post, and i asked him to explain, he changed his explanation several times in an attempt to save face but has proven himself to be a pete wright aka "truth bender"!

i don't care for a photo of an escort, i've proven my point that he bent the truth(don't want to say lied incase he starts crying again) about his figures but then he started bigging up an mr2 that he doesn't even own..and then started the spam..

  7. Eh I never said it was a ford (Y) What is it made of if it's not fibreglass? And how do you afford all your cars? Just interested as I'd love to be able to own such outrageous cars when I'm your age.

    James

i wouldn't even bother attempting to get him to explain his bullsh*t he'll just carry on spinning a yarn like most liars do.

back into validating with your pete wright ass! lol

i must apologise for particapating in turning this thread into spam, but its like pete wright, you just can't help but make them feel stupid for talking shite. sorry for picking on you ryan but seriously you don't need to talk kak to impress anyone.

  8. You started this arguement. and i dont speak shit. whoppy doo dar, your rich.. stop bragging! we dont want to no.. and if you really think i am better than you for haveing a car, so be it. cars mean barley anything to me, so much so that it hasnt been driven in over a month now, as i would rather be riding my bike. its cheaper and better for your personal fitness.

Bit of advice, with all your cash that you own,, Go buy a life you looser.

oh, and your type -r wouldnt out run a STANDARD Mr2 turbo rev 3 either.

    byebye.

no you started this argument because you are a little keyboard warrior who uses the net to talk shit, everything some one says you have an answer for because you can't help but lie(for example...."my next door neighbour has a type r" otherwise translated into "bullshit shit shit bullshit" lol

you talk so much kak my sides are splitting. whats a looser?is it like a loser?

  9. Nothing childish there, u lost and trying to intimidate me, trying to make me look silly. i dont no much bout Type-R's , personally i am not a great fan of them. altho i no the integra's are faster as my next door neighbour owns integra -t-r and his mate has a civic -t-r. they told me they had a race and the integra pissed all over the civic, but the bloke with the civic has had a supercharger conversion fitted now and it beats the integra.

Also, surely loosing to the mr2 then admitting that it cost a THIRD of your car, surey thats a bad thing isnt it? if i had a £15 - 20,000 car and got beat by a £8,000 car, dont think i would like to admit it.

    Also, for £8,000

And i think, this at £8k looks far better than yours at THREE times more.

    <div class='bbimg'>mr2topside.jpg</div>

    (Y)

End it here ok. i dont want to a demestic over this.

hahahahaha what a chav chariot, i'm glad its got 350bhp as it wont be there long enough for me to look at it!

stop press some one call honda and tell them they got there performance figures wrong because ryan rs's next door neighbour says so, lmao

you came into the thread stating you owned a blah blah gti with blah blah bhp and i merely stated you were talking shit which you agreed to as you started changing your mind on the performance figures, so how have i lost and how am i intimidating you!

and like i said if i want to i can sell my car and buy the rev3 so stating that your better than me for a having a car which you don't even have makes no sense, i wouldn't care if someone beat me in a mr2 as i'm not bothered.

    end it here.ok

  10. I dont chat to make myself look good. and u think ur so posh with ur gps.. Well, i am a coach driver and have one too. so i also no exactly what speed i am doing... infact, i have 3 as my dad is a lorry driver and uses one too.

As for your type - r,  well maby you have got a lot of money to waste. whats up? too scared of the integra type-r ?? bit too powerfull for you??

Tell you what, Mr Mucho, soon as i get my MR2 through, ill come find you and give you a little race... ill give you a head start.

Your obviously the twat here as you got nothing better to do than slag off what other people have and say. belive what you want, everyone that knows me and knows my car appreciates what i have done to it. shame you cant too.  looser.

    (Y)

ah you resort to childish behaviour as you have been owned for talking pap!

and which integra are you talking about as the dc2(old shape) is slower than the civic and the new shape dc5 is only available on import and fractionally faster as it is jdm spec which would be 220bhp the same as the jdm civic!

anything else you'd like to ask?

btw whats a looser is that like a loser???

are you pete wright in disguise?

  11. Standard....

    Escort GTi (Mk7 115ps)...  8.8 sec

    Rs2000 (Mk7 FWD)...8.3 sec

    XR3i (Mk7 same engine as GTi but 130Ps) .. 8.2 sec

    Rs-Turbo series 2 ... 7.9 sec

So, my car std is 8.8 sec, so just by putting in the 130 ps cams knocked off .6 of a sec to bring it to standard xr3i spec.

i am allowing my stopwatch 'Timing' To be out slightly so, it read 6.8, i allow for 7 sec (.2 more)

if you think about it, its std with 130 cams @ 8.2...  and the D-Cat combined made a hell of a difference to the 'Pull' of the car. so combined with the rest of the stuf, 1.2 seconds faster than standard sounds about right.

    Thankyou.

you can't give a reading with a speedo thats out like every other speedo in the world and an itchy stopwatch finger as proof....lol

i have a gps system in my type r which gives me exact readings of speed and my speedo is out so i can guarantee your gti will be out.

sorry mate, i don't wanna seem like i'm picking on you but i just take offence to people who chat to make themselves look good!

    the keyboard warrior! lol

  12. im not chatting shit, i dont chat shit. and dont accuse me of chatting shit. i get very offended by it.

And as for loosing power through transmisson,  yes you do, but how much exactly depends on the car, quality of parts and wear. and being as it has new of Everyting transmission wise, and the flywheel has been balanced, there is minimal power loss.

I have dyno papers to prove the hp, they were done november last year.. ill dig them out and scan them in next time im at my mates house as i dont own a scanner.

the 0-62 was done with a stop watch, yes i no, its not anywhere near the most accurate way of doing it, but my speedo is very much in sync and unless your a retard and hesitate or have a nervous twitch prior to slicking 'Stop' it must be accurate + - 1 second. and top speed times wer done by raggin it next to me mates MR2 Turbo down the medway drag. (M20)

I am geting rid of this car to purchase a imported Mr2 Turbo Rev3 soon, its been madley upgraded to run 350 BHP, full veilside kit, 60 in under 5 seconds 175mph +(PROVEN), my insurance is £800 full comp for this to which is amazing.

actually you can work out an approximate bhp at the wheels by deducting 10% plus 10bhp from the fly bhp. which always works out 1-2 bhp within an actual reading, this is a proven method and doesn't differ with cars. btw how much torque did you reach in the dyno?

  13. What a looser. and what 'probable pile of crap' do you drive then? I own a escort GTi P reg and i have modifyed it MYSELF, and it pisses over most cars, and now gives Rs-Turbos a good run for there money.

it sounds amazing, not just a noise like most Boy racer cars, it spits 4ft flames out of the exaust, the throttle response is instant, the power is instant and it loves being thrashed.

i have never drove a more 'Lively' Naturally aspirated car...

heres some of the preformance mods i have done (Myself!)

    (engine is a 1.8 16v Zetec-E, NON turbo)

Gas Flowed head (well this was done at CHD)

Ford 130 Ps spec high lift Cams

    Adjustable vernier pullys

    2litre Mondeo throttle body

    2litre Mondeo Airflow sensor

    De-Cat pipe

    Full stainless Magnex exaust system

    K&N filter

    Magnacore Competition leads

Modified ECU (but im waiting for a Superchips Daughterboard)

Custom made gearbox with a Xr3 1.6 Ratio Final Drive gear

    Rs-Turbo Limited Slip Differential

Koni 'Yellow' suspension B+F with adjustable dampening 30mm drop

    Front Strut Brace

Rs2000 Rear disk brakes and beam.

150 BHP (wheels)  165 Bhp (Flywheel)  (Std 105Bhp wheels)

    -0-62mph 6.8 sec,  top speed 148MPH !

I think this car is amazing, being as the RS Cosworth YB 2ltr T35 Turbo has 205 BHP and 0-62 in 6.4 sec.

-i have also changed the body work and interoir, but im not gona go into detail with them.

My insurance Full comp is £600, i am 22 3yrs NCB and the car to buy and modify has cos me around £5,000

So MC-Bolo, find me a car that can go like mine, turn heads like mine and still be cheap to insure and cost less to buy without loosing any quality. -Bet you cant.

    Ry

    (Y)

if you reach 165bhp at the flywheel then you would have approximately 138bhp at the wheels give or take 1-2bhp due to transmission losses. so i think you should get it rolling roaded again mate or stop chattin shit.

and please enlighten us on how you had your 0-60 and top speed figures recorded as i'm bloody astonished!

  14. What a looser. and what 'probable pile of crap' do you drive then? I own a escort GTi P reg and i have modifyed it MYSELF, and it pisses over most cars, and now gives Rs-Turbos a good run for there money.

do you have a copy of a dyno sheet to prove those bhp figures, also how did you record those 0-60 and top speed figures?

  15. why no pics of engine. get some uploaded me lad! (Y)

edit. you need to put a bracket on your img to show pics of the engine.

lol, theres so much space in that engine bay. very clean.

  16. It's in my name. It will be around £1300 fully comp after I've done pass plus.

what insurance company is this with mate? my brothers looking to get a car , he's a new driver too, if you can get a 48% reduction then he would be saving a lot of cash!

    ta.

  17. phil, that looks pretty good, i like it  :P

    cheers :P

unfortunately on close inspection the quality isn't that good, i suppose i could have them re-coloured but i can't really be arsed! :P
