Zoo pads will do you good Hunter (The new ones)
Had some Heatsink Snowies before, Their ace on smooth. Either of these will do you great and they are both cheapish(Assuming the Zoo's are still £10 )
Everyones talking about Zoo! pads but where do you get them? I can't find them anywhere? I though they stopped making them. Lol.

No, I have no idea who Ali Clarkson is. Hahaha.

Old style zoo pads or Plaz crms are your best bet for smooth rims
They don't make Zoo!'s anymore do they?
Thanks alot guys. It's a big help.
-
I'd say the Koxx.
-
Not on NMC is there?
-
Duncan!
Haha
Yeah
sounds mint.
-
Oright,
Here it is
And this is before, when it had Vee's, i'm uploading this picture simply because it seems to be law to have a picture of your trials bike in your kitchen.
-
Yeah, sounds mint.
Anyone else going?
-
Yeah, I will be.
Takes a while but it's worth it.
Erm... I'll meet you in Culloden at some time on Sunday if theres good weather! Haha
-
This is quite a common topic but I noticed theres none on the NMC right now.
I'm wanting to get new pads for my HS33's but i'm not too sure yet.
I'm riding smooth rims front and rear and i'm keeping it smooth. I'm not going to bother with grinds.
I have tar which I can use aswell.
Anyway suggestions?
Right now i'm wanting Heatsink Snowy's
Anyone had any expierences with them?
Cheers

I'm up for it!
If the weathers good.
Will you be cycling in or getting a lift?
-
Nice one.
-
I'm not an expert but they look very good.
And they're Echo.
Can't go wrong!
-
Yeh if you run an Echo rim, or a ronnie or something that holds a grind well, get the PhatPads material aswell. They're unreal! Still good on a Koxx/Atomz rim though, just take a while to wear in once the grind has gone blunt.
Well, I am running a smooth rim and am probably going to keep it like that.
Do you still think they would be good?
If not, would I be able to buy other pads and put them into Phatpad backings? Do they sell the backings seperately?
Thanks
-
I'd recommend the PhatPads backings. They're really slim so you can set the slaves in closer, they're nice and stiff and they're not too tight on the slave clip thingy, so they shouldn't snap them off as easy as heatsink ones.
Oright! Thanks alot!

I'm wanting new pads and i'm torn between getting Metal CNC'd Aluminium backings or plastic backings.
I've heard that CNC'd brake alot better ad don't flex as much and that plastic backings can snap.
But also apparently metal backings can crack and snap your pistons.
Cheers

I have double HS33 and I love it. Double disc is better for Natty though.
-
I have Magura Royal Blood in mine and it's ok but my friends who have water bleeds, their brakes feel alot nicer and are quicker.
Water with a wee bit of anti-freeze is good.
An advantage with the fluid though is that you don't need to re-bleed it regularly because it doesn't absorb water.
All down to preference and opinion really.

Wow!
If that vid was just from two weeks into riding!
Your a very quick improver.
Riding with Tom and Danny is probably a goodway to get better!
Keep it up.
