  1. To get it how it is now: £179 for the bike £5 for the HS33 £20 for the chainwheel No idea dude. Not sure on the geo. Frame's 'made' by Orange, so im guessing not.
  2. Due to 'chavs' go around with their music blaring out and setting it all up for bass so there's hardly anything else to the music. Same with Saxo's and Corsa's etc. It's the dick's that get noticed and give the item's the stereotype. Personally i find my uprated fronts, 6x9's, tweeters and crossovers enough for me, giving a nice sound without a sub... Also feel less of a dick when i open the boot lol.
  3. Oh yea, admittedly, if it was something you could actually use, it would be more impressive. But i still find it impressive... Different opinions i guess. I just dont get people who go 'it's shit', in so many words, and fail to look at what these people are actually acheiving. Modding my Saxo has had it's complications and it's fairly straight forward compared to alot of the car's mentioned. So imagine what set backs they get.
  4. Perhaps the 106 is more show, than a road car? Anyone thought of that, mabye? If it's wider than an 18 wheeler, it isnt going to be used on the road... or you'd hope not lol. I think some people are just abit narrow minded and slate anything that they dont like and wont accept other people's opinions. My uncle's the same. But hey, thats just my opinion
  5. Wow, alot of old names mentioned on here lol. What happened to Martin Fricker? Makaveli44 or something wasn't he? Something like that.
  6. It is an integral giro, yea. Brake may get painted at some point. I just needed a HS33 and my mate said i could have that one for a fiver, so i wasnt complaining lol. Chain is now tighter, did it on my lunch break today
  7. No, i said it's still a 106, but one hell of a 106. I didnt compare it to a piece of wood lol.
  8. Err no... it isnt. MDF and a car that has had shed loads of time, fabrication and hard earned money into it, is not the same lol
  9. You do realise that car's not even half way through being modified, dont you? Lol. Monstrosity? Mabye so in some people's eye's... But, if it is finished in a good enough way, that car, no matter what you say, could be a master piece when it comes to the work that has gone into it. Things like that arent really thrown together, they take time, money and alot of hard work. You surely can respect the dedication? Ok, so it's still a 106, but it could be one hell of a one-off 106.
  10. That's good to hear then Just, like i say, i need to sort a new back wheel out. The standard one's crap. Local bike shop can do me a DMR Dee Vee wheel for £90 plus the s/s conversion. So may consider that.
  11. Had quite afew mod's in the past when i used to ride, T-Mag, Hydra, (Koxx style) T-Pro... But now i'm trying to get back into riding i thought i'd go a little different and fancied a 24". Bit of a budget at the minute so i went for the cheap skate option and bought an Ashton Raid. Owned it about 3 weeks now and so far i've put a HS33 on the rear, BBB pads in the front and put a 25t Blank chainwheel on the front. I know it isn't strictly trials, but it's something i can mess about on The next plan is to get a different rear wheel as the standard one is f****** usless lmao.
  12. Liking that video alot. Not really the sort of music you'd first think of to put with a vid, but it worked... Made it very easy to watch Brilliant riding too, got some skills
  13. They point your slightly missing, both of you, is that some people are more bothered about how their car looks than performs. Take, for example, myself. My car (imo) handles half decent. Not as well as it could, but its good enough for me. But im not particuarly bothered how it handles, so long as it looks good in my eyes. I have a Ducati for going fast, the Saxo is just my daily run around which i enjoy playing with. Not everyone wants a car that has to be awesome around the track. That said, not everyone would enjoy their car being scrapingly low.
  14. Again, not arguing. But it's in the details There's stuff on my car which seperates it from alot and has been since copied by many. Plus it isnt the usual lex-arse lights and 17's, nor is it stripped out and down 30mm like most of them at SaxP meetings. Infact, i've never once come across a Saxo with the touches i've put to mine. Not to say there isnt any out there. Like you say, no arguing. But if you were to see my car in person, there's lots of stuff you dont notice in the photo's
  15. Like every other German car then lol. No offence meant by that. But that's how all VAG cars are done now. It's one of those fashions which will die out in afew years. Don't get me wrong, i love the look and in MOST cases it's alot better than bodykits and 20" rims (although even that can look good when done with taste), but it's just how things go
  16. Got you pal Aint seen Jack in ages lol. I dont really go into town much nowadays. If im not at our lasses, im out on the Ducati or messing about in garage with the Sax, Duc or Ashton lol.
  17. It is sorted mate, if it's the axle you mean? It's running fairly smoothly at the min, just need to the CV Boot bevfore mot No offence, but who are you? Haha. Sorry.
  18. If you want to modify your car then do it pal. Ignore what anyone else say's just do what you want to do. Personally, im big into french cars. Owned 2 Clio's and im now in possesion of a Saxo VTR (had it just over 2 and half years now). My mate's called Saxo's like f*** when i bought it and said they're crap. Now yea, stereotypically, chavvy and fall apart because they're french. But one hell of a good handling car once tweaked a little. And i've also managed to get it looking abit different from other Saxo's without the use of massive wheels, lairy paint and a bodykit (although it still cost me a small fortune). And the mate's who always called Saxo's still call them, but they always make the exception for mine *feels smug lol*. But my point is that im happy with it and that's all that matters. The car always gets admiring looks wherever i go and even get's thumbs up by OAP's and younger people too. So it's pleases alot of people, which is why we modify cars isnt it? To make yourself happy and if other's like it, it's a bonus.
