I wouldn't recommend it if you're a beginner because you will fall off and break it, And be gutted. Get a magura Louise if you're a beginner. Although if you're not go for it a mate of mine has one and they are amazing brakes.

That's got to be one of the most stupid things I have ever heard to be honest. All your doing is killing the sidewalls.
REALLY LIGHT! lol yeh i know what your saying but like people grind rims really deep and doing it lighty takes a wee bit of weight off and sanding it makes it smoother than a light grind or you can make it really smooth but then theres no point in doing it, i mite try just sanding a smooth rim next time =\ mite just work the same haha

i go round it twice really light with a grinder and then smooth it down with a sander and use rock blues

hey i was in a comp at fort william and i broke both my levers off at the start warming up and did the whole comp with no brakes was mad!!!

hi, am Gary "gage-mann" i've been riding for over 2 years now and since then have gone from mod to stock so i ride a 2007 long czar stock.
i live in barrow-in-furness and love to trials, am also thinking of bmxing when i get some more money.
my intrest's are: trialsing, bmxing, running, friend's, video's.
i look forward to my future on the forum

i cracked my czar ivan after 2 weeks
ripped v-brake mounts off me urban forks flat spotted my new tr rim 
snapped chains, pedal cages as most people do x plenty more breaks to come

i had x-lite 1s which were very easy on my hands they felt mental but in a good way and i had them on my zoo 05 python wid monty stem niice for sidehops

ride what ever feels right just dont ride so that wen u bak hop and gap that you hit your rim

yerr lol i find it funny when skaters call you gay lil trials bikers i just say well i've got a brain because i wear a helmet and you have 4 wheels on a plank haha and when chav's say "do a backflip" i tell them to try a front flip on they feet and i aint seen none of them do it. the best is old people saying "that would be easyier if you had a seat" lol its a very funn thing trialsing. the chavs saying "why you got bigger wheels?" monster truck wheels and why is every mod seen by chav's instantly a monty or dabomb haha

right short high bb rise 06 gu frame (i have 1
) an if your bigg person get pitbull or echo long wheelbase are just right for me and i carnt say anything bout low bb rise i have never had a low bb rise frame but bb rise gives a bigger feel and gives more clearence over rocks and other stuff anyway if u want a stock get deng frame first good en strong -
well hi there erm you want good brakes and when i started i just messed around curbs and learned to balence straight and ride along curbs (straight) and then back hops came all of a shuddan and its just gone from there feel wise and reading topics on here helps with ways of doing certain moves
